Let me guess. You decided to upgrade to a Weber 32/36, got all excited about hearing that new motor roar and then discovered your manual choke cable isn't big enough for her? Well, you are not alone.
You can find several threads on the topic. @Mike Self even has one using piano wire, which if I had a piano I would've tried. But I opted to give more money to the local auto parts store and hack something myself. Sharing my solution and others might share theirs in this thread as well.

1. Pick up universal choke kit - mine was $12
2. Unscrew knob and plastic fastener. Mine had box with electrical wires attached. (Search the FAQ to find out why it has electrical wire attached)
3. Remove the two screws holding it together, there is a smaller box securing the cable.
4. Gently pry it open with a screwdriver.
5. The old cable will be bent at a 90 degree angle. Cut the choke knob off your new cable and bend the end to match the old cable.
6. On your old cable, cut off the end with the attachment that held the screws.
7. Reassemble the plastic box that holds the cable and knob rod. Super glue it back together
8. Slide the new cable sleeve on, temporarily put knob end back in place. (Remind yourself to look up why it has electrical wires.)
9. Go to carb and measure how much you need to cut off. Remember to cut sleeve first or you may be going back to parts store.
10. Slide sleeve back up to knob, attach wire to carb.
11. Where new cable butts up against old sleeve you cut off old cable, tape it together to reduce slippage.
12. Reinstall knob then return to the FAQ to read up on Weber 32/36 jetting.
