I was going by the flares as I could not see any emblems.
Can you post your photo?

It was at the start of the Paris segment.

Well, I bought the seats, but it is going to require major fabrication to get them to sit low enough.
The drivers seat has the mechanical seat height function intetgrated into the seat frame. I think they mount verly close to the floor in the RSX.
I do not want to modify my car's seat mounting, so will see how I can hack these up and will respond back in a few years. :-)

If so, how did it work out.
Were they too high?
I know they are not period correct, but they look supportive and comfortable.
Thanks in advance.

Also, Congrats to Matt McGinn!

Why Bobby Rahal loves 2002s

“I just thought they were the perfect car: they had pretty good performance but you could put four adults in the car, you could put stuff in the trunk — I mean, they were really perhaps one of the best all-around cars ever made.”
I drive that car quite often
Enjoy,

I need the following pieces from a non rusted car :-)
It is under the rear seat on each side closes to the rocker panel.
There is a mini unibodi box underneath the area that should come with hopefully.
Would someone have these to cut out for me?
I plan to have the work done in late September.

I have a stock spare. 13x4.5 with a 165x80 xzx tire.
Also, a really old roundel tip.
Cut down one of those white 5 gal buckets to about 4 inches, cut a hole in the center and place under spare tire. Fits perfect with my stock steel spare tire.
Holds all kinds of parts for me. Fourtunatley, I have never needed to use them.

The in-car photo below shows the actual color.
The other shots came out too dark.

The wheel is in nice original condition with one blemish (see photo) that can only be seen if you look from the side at a certain angle.
I'm selling it because I like to try different wheels and am now using a leather Luisi.

I am a Human Factors Psychologist. I started in engineering for a year at a community college then worked in a mobile home factory for a few years and then went back to school for psychology. I did not find out about Human Factors until I was in graduate school for experimental/cognitive psych and was so excited to find Human Factors that combines engineering, psychology, research, design, yoga, and building stuff. I believe it continues to be a growing profession, as all products and services need usability and utility. "Design Thinking" and user centered design!! Look at job tasks like "user interface design", usability testing, and Innovation prototyping. I have been doing this in the software and web product space for almost 30 years and it is new every day.

Is it loud enough??
No, Really, How does it sound at 2002 speed?
-
-
I will want to do this some day.
Please pardon this niave question. when the rear shock towers are replaced, will it then require respray of the outside of the car?
Also, e-mail me off-line as I would also be interested in an estimate for this type of work.
thanks,

Sorry for the Typo... I meant, NO head gasket leak....not 'now'..
Yes, I could see some leaking areas but I could not pin point the location and did not want to climb under the car while it was running or hot. This is the first time I have ever used the cooling system pressure tester and was so happy I wanted to share the results.
-
I have had an intermittent cooling system leak for a while now.
I purchased the Harbor Freight coolling system pressure testing kit but returned it as it did not have a fitting for our cars. I stopped at Pep Boys and they loaned me one ($130 deposit) for 5 days that fit.
Pumped the system up to 15 psi and found several hose connections that were leaking. I guess I was afraid to make them too tight when I put them on the other year. Luckly, I tighened them up, cleaned the area, pumped back up to 15psi and no more leaks.
It held 15psi for over 5 minutes (when I took it off) so I guess this also shows now internal (head gasked) coolant leaks.

The same weight too!

I have a D'alan 19mm in front. It is gold in color.
I don't think they make bars any more

1. Make sure it is not rusted in frame rails, rear shock towers, and other serious places that would require lots of expensive welding to repair. If there is significant rust, it is better to keep this car for parts and purchase a better platform to begin with.
Then, after the rust is repaired, do the mechanical rebuild before doing the body. This way any dings or bumps that happen during the mechanical work can be taken care of before the sweet paint job. Then do the interrior last so the dust and such from the paint job does not get on new carpet etc.
Have fun. 2002s are wonderful cars to work on.

I bought a nice Luisi wheel from a FAQer and the horn did not work.
I finally got to look at it.
The brass rod/contact on a spring on the base of the adapter was just sliding out of the black plastic casing that holds it such that it was not making contact with the brass ring on the steering column..
Further analyis showed what I think happend.
It looks like the out of the box length of the brass rod was too long for the fitment on a 2002 so that when the wheel adapter was mounted to the steering column the brass rod was rammed through the plastic housing.
I was able to cut about a 1/2 inch off the brass rod so that it was the correct length, and to super glue the insert and the black casing to repair it.
It was funny when my daughter stuck her head out the door to see what all the honking was about.
We will see how it holds up.
So, if you get a new steering wheel hub adapter, check the fit on how far the brass rod contact will compress before just cranking it down.
Just saw the Turbo in Herbie goes to Monte Carlo
