  1. Sydney, you were right, after replacing the incorrect clamp with a fuel line one and tightening all the clamps, no more leak! Thank you!!
  2. Thank you Sydneytii! Will work on tightening everything. When replacing the O-Ring is there a specific torque ratio or just tighten as much as I can?
  3. Mark, Karl, really appreciate the guidance here. I purchased the 13511257559 parts and will replace as well as tightening the clamps and buy a fuel line clamp. Very helpful and useful! Thank you.
  4. Dear 2002 tii community, I started my 1974 tii today and the fuel smell was stronger than usual, After 5 minutes, I turned off the car, I went outside and saw that fuel was dripping beneath the engine. After reviewing some of the discussions on this site I decided to replace the two hoses (yellow arrows). I restarted the car and let it run, but fuel was coming out of the front cover next to the four hoses that go into the injection system ( red arrow). Hoping someone can shed some light or guide me as to whether this is something I can fix myself. I thank you in advance. Please note that I'm new to the 2002 tii. I purchased the car two months ago. Thank you, Jangun
  5. Pierre, I appreciate the reply. I did not notice, thank you for pointing that out. I was dreading to take out the panel. I did remove the lock, the latch mechanism, cleaned everything but there was something wrong the latch mechanism that goes up and down. I bought a used one, replaced it put everything back together and now it is working. Grateful to 2002faq! Take care.

  7. Hello everyone, just purchased a 1974 Tii. Try to lock it or unlock it but it does not work. Apologies in advance for the redundancy. The key turns better on the unlock position but not a full turn motion on the lock position. Regardless on the movement, the vertical rod does not move up or down. I have read a few threads and took a chance to remove the panel door. I removed the door handle, remove the cylinder inside the door handle, lubricate everything, put the mechanism back into the door handle, tried it before reinstalling into the door frame, the latch moved freely. When putting it back into the door, same thing, does not move as freely and does not lock or unlock. The metal part where the vertical rod hooks does not move at all. I tried to pull it up or down it does not budge. Isn't it supposed to move. I'm supposed to take out the latch mechanisms on the side of the door, I only removed the door handle. These are some pictures. Thank you.
  8. You may want to check EuroBeat Wheels, they have good reviews and they service many dealerships around Rockville. They are a bit pricey. I hit a pothole and bent the outer lip of one of my RIM and they said that they start at $180 and will go up depending on the damage. Not sure about prices for cleaning. polishing and resurfacing wheels.
