    Thanks everyone! Great information. Steve - good advice! I wish I could keep the long nose diff, but all my resto parts and drive train was stolen from a body shop years ago. I all I have is the body shell with hood, trunk and doors. I will keep an eye out for a long nose diff and carrier. Best, Tim

    New question for an old thread. I have a 1976 donor front and rear subframe that I would like to install into a nice 1968 body. Looks like the subframes are the same from previous posts. Does using a '76 short-nosed diff in the '68 just require a different driveshaft or is there something else I am missing? Many thanks in advance?
