Sweet! I'm about to do the same. Can you post a video of the exhaust note (or just audio ? )? Which IE header did you go with? Any engine mods?
M
I'll post up a vid when I finish. Didn't order the header. Kept the stock manifold and ordered the down pipe along with the "early style" exhaust http://www.iemotorsport.com/bmw/item/02ssexhaust.html
I had to go back and order a mounting bracket as the IE down pipe doesn't quite fit on the bracket that is attached to the back of the transmission. I'm waiting for this part and the manifold gasket to come in before I finish.

Replaced my cracked black bezel with one I purchased on here. Also had the trim rings pin stripped silver.
Replaced all the instrument lights with LED. Daylight picture and their dimmable. Turned out really nice, happy guy.
I also repaired the odometer and got that to work correctly.
The gauges look great. Where did you buy them?

I received mine and have to say it works great. Well thought out yet very simple in design. I look forward to lots of splash free fill ups!
Ken was even nice enough to drop it off at my house during a cruise he was on.
Thanks Ken!

Never knew this was a problem until I put gas in for the first time. Do you cap off the filler between fill ups to keep gas smell out of the trunk?

I've looked online and through old threads here. I can't seem to find exactly what I need. Maybe because I don't know exactly what I need...
Anyway, let me know if you have one or a source to them.
Thanks
Andy

The car was a well done, honest car. I know the seller and have seen it many times. He's a LONG time '02 guy who I've traded parts with for years. This is his hobby and he puts a lot of love into each car. Im more than ecstatic he got a good sale price on this great car!
Thanks for vouching for the seller as I'm the buyer of this 2002. He has owned the car for 10 years and has been very open about its condition. I asked all my questions via the "contact seller" link so none of that shows up in the discussion. I have been looking for a while now and there is not a lot to choose from. I did not see the Craigslist ad advertising it for less. I've bought and sold many vintage cars although they have been more in the muscle car realm. I've always loved the 2002's and decided it was time for a change. I buy privately most of the time but have been following BaT for a while and thought it would be fun to try it out. Hopefully the car will turn out to be what I am hoping with a minimum of fixes on my part.
As far as having "more money than sense", I've always found it interesting how those without sense end up with the money. I don't consider myself in that classification but if I had to choose I guess I'll take the money...
