Just one idea. Screw a M10 threaded rod or a tall bolt with tall enough thread as drawn in the picture. Another one on the opposite side. Put a nut between where the arrow shows. Then use the nuts to drive the gearbox out. It should come out, either with or without the center bearing.

For me this would be easy since I have all the metric stuff laying in the garage, not sure if you have.

I would do this but do it in several locations and work it out evenly to avoid breaking off any ears. Had to do this with my M3 as it hung up the same way. Input shaft to pilot bearing. Just a warning, putting it back was the same way. Good luck!

    spare tire well link

I have a Jaymic spare tire well that was never fitted and I will not need. Is as new. Price would be plus shipping. Link to item is attached for reference. I have already eaten the cost of shipping to US so there is a pretty good savings in that.

    Thanks!

  4. Tesa is the best. I used 2 different types when redoing wiring in my M3. The engine bay type is strong and not as flexible, there is another looser and softer type good in non-water areas where you just want to shield the wires or bundle them. Razor blade best for cutting it.

  5. I have purchased quite a bit from the over the past six months. Excellent to deal with and have some hard to find bits. Awesome packaging and shipping although not cheap is very quick. usually 3-4 days from shipment to delivery for me. Due to shipping costs, suggest making sure to get enough of an order to justify the cost.

  7. Safety equipment should be an integrated system.

Normal 3pt belts with seats that will allow sideways movement in rollover.  or

Roll bar/cage with harnesses and seats that restrain you from bouncing off of them in a crash and provide the boundary protection.

Obviously, you can do what works best for you, but make sure you think it thru when you make the choice. Unintended consequences can be pretty substantial in this situation.
