  1. Since the last time I posted I’ve been busy. Doing way to many side jobs and not enough work of my own projects! Picked up a pretty clean 318is to do a m42 motor swap and 5 speed. Also finished all the body work on my 1600. Went with Audi ls9r two stage. Got a little carried away with the blue toner but it looks awesome in the sun. Finished building the motor tonight. Waiting on motor mounts and painting the engine bay. Whoever had it before decided to under it. That was fun cleaning up. Also shot two elk. Freezer is full! Excited to get the motor in and running. Hoping it’s enough fun power.... if not I guess it’s turbo time!!!
  2. Picked up a 1991 318is today to swap over the m42 and 5 speed! Car is pretty clean and came with 2 motors. Pretty excited about the swap. Anyone that’s done the swap and wants to share some info would be greatly appreciated
  3. Finished trimming my front and rear springs now just need to put new tires on the back. Fired her up today and it’s making a terrible screeching sound. Any ideas? Only happens when there is a vacuum in the crankcase. I hope the video uploads haha 22A057B2-A4F4-4ADA-9647-13852226B94B.MOV
  4. So I pulled my rear end and driveshaft earlier this week and getting ready to pull the subframe tonight. I noticed that the front Guibo is cracked in a couple spots and I figured now is the time to replace it. I priced out an oe one and it’s looking like $141. Does anyone make aftermarket ones for the earlier 3 bolt style? Thanks nick
  5. Nice work joysterm! I’m hoping to come along back seats like that sometime soon so I can wrap up my interior
  6. Finish up my seat brackets and tacked then into place. Much better after dropping prelude seats down 3/4” and back 2”. Tons more space. Also cleaned fuse box up. And went to a friends party and drank enough beer that I don’t feel like finishing up all my welding tonight? and I discovered a hole in the floor that I will have to patch up tomorrow. #worksecurity Hey
  7. Oh boy. First post! Only been watching this site and reading everyone’s info for the past 4 months. Today I finished trimming and porting a manifold and got it for sand blasting. Also made some brackets to install prelude seats I picked up a month ago, and primed my hood and passenger door. Installed seats and they sit way to high. I’m only 5’10” but my head is only like 3 inches from the roof. Time to bring the welder home from work and get serious
