  1. Thank you for that. But do you think the one in the link o posted is the correct one?
  2. After some research sometime ago on this forum we came to the conclusion it is a '72 model and I'm almost sure the muffler is in the right rear of side of the car.Edit: I'm wrong it is on the middle not the right, will it still fit?
  3. Well I finally got my license and now the only thing I need is to get an end silencer for my 2002 so it can get it to pass his inspection and get it on the road. I've been searching for months for an end silencer and I think I finally found one: http://t.mister-auto.co.uk/en/end-silencer/walker-05907_g3437_a01305907.html Is this the right going to work? I would be glad I someone could help me with this, I just want to drive this beauty and make the dream I've had since I was a child come true. P.S.: it's a regular 2002 4 speed manual 100 horsepower.
  4. Does the fact that the car was assembled in Portugal decreases the car value? It makes sense that there was a satellite assembly line in Portugal at that time because we were ruled by a dictatorship until 1975.
  5. I took a picture of the plate under the hood and was amazed by what I found, let me do a little translation for you (the photo is posted alone the other two I had already posted). On top we can read " montano em Portugal" which translates into assembled in Portugal. Then there is "modelo" that means model of corse. After that "número do chassis" that means chassis number, I think that was the VIN some of you told me to look for. And finally "Peso Bruto" that means the weight of the car in kilograms. Now I don't know if it will be worth sending that email to the gentleman in Munich, because this car was assembled in Portugal.
  6. Wouldn't trade my 2002 for any of those, he is so special But I wish I had some of those cars...
  7. He already changed the status of the album to public, take a look. You have everything from really old Porsches to a classic Fiat 500 Abarth.
  8. Wait, it's in the facebook of a friend. I will ask him to put the album public.
  9. https://www.facebook.com/estanislaufernandes/media_set?set=a.388915891131134.84983.100000381791031&type= This is an album of one of the most important auto shows in the island, tons of gorgeous classics. The photos are of a friend of mine he as one of those old VW vans.
  10. Madeira Island, Portugal. There are a lot of proper, well maintained classic cars here (considering that the population of the island is 200000 people). There are at least 3 cars just like mine in the island that I know of (all in better shape than mine), one is Bordeaux the other is red and mine is the white one.
  11. Thank you for the help, I'll do that tomorrow during the day and will post it here as soon as possible.
  12. Yes, it's an European model. My grandfather says that the dealer said to him that this car was assembled in Portugal. Personally I find it really strange, maybe the dealer was trying to deceive my grandfather. There is a lot of mistery around this cars origin, and it was bought brand new that makes it even stranger.
  13. Thank you for the advice, it's already posted on the general discussions topic.
  14. What do you mean by under the good? Is that the hood? It would be cool to have the email of that guy in Munich. Thank you for the help!
  15. This was my fathers first car and will soon be my first car (as soon as I finish my license). I would really like to know whats the model and year of this car, the documents of the car seem to be wrong it is registered in 1974 but in the model part it simply says 2002. I would love some help with these since I was a small child use to get inside it and imagine I was driving it.
