If you sent PayPal you need request a refund from the seller. If no response open a case in the resolution centre asap. If ou sent the money as "friend" then your out of luck.... I hope this works out for you guys. Ive gone through this with a seller from this site and managed to get my money back but not without some lost sleep.

Thanks guys. I ended up sending it to a local shop that was able to source serrated bolts. They rebuilt the diff and used loctite. I asked them to leave the rear cover off and we will paint the bolts to see if they move after some races. If they do I'll take out the diff and replace with new drilled bolts and lock wire.

My friend had a rear failure on his 2002 w/LSD at the track recently. I'm looking for the updated serrated ring gear bolts, does anybody know where these can be purchased? Also looking for LSD clutches for a refresh. I'm in Vancouver Canada so localish would be nice but I'll order online if needed.

Is there ANY damage on them? Scratches, dents, shipping damage? Do they come with pins?

I would chose wood, I think it flows well with the color of your car and its classy.

Mine was from the Matt Sandoval account as a refund

I can honestly say i don't believe it but I received a refund. I do have a temporary hold on it but still..... I can't believe it. Thanks to all the BMW communities for coming together and not letting somebody get away with this!

Refunds will be issued ASAP! Although this is a big misunderstanding that wasn't caused by me I feel responsibly to make things right on this forum and clear my name of this horrendous event! Everyone will be contacted personally. I have no reason to have this issue last any longer than needed, this issue will be resolved immediately.
$150 to pboznik@gmail.com......

So should I be calling so called "Don sr" (505#) to try and get my money back? I'm out $150 u.s ($200 cdn) for the so called purchase of a header.
No contact with the seller since I sent the money....
-
I bought a Stahl header off of him. Now when I search google, I find the same pic he sent me from a post that dates back to 2012....

I should have listened to my gut and not sent money via 'friend' I knew there was no protection however saw that many had purchased parts from him so thought it may be ok. $150 ($200 canadian) $ from my car fund now down the drain....

Year:: 1972
Make:: BMW
Model:: 2002
Price:: 12000
Location: : Vancouver BCI am not affiliated with this vehicle but have spoken on the phone with the owner.
I had very open conversation with him and speaks very genuinely about it, trying to give as much detail on the condition and the back story of it. It sounds like it is in pretty good shape.

Phil,
I'm really sorry this happened to you. Fortunately this is only the 2nd time it's happened (as far as I'm aware).
I'll make send you another one ASAP. It will be another gunmetal 2002 unless you prefer one of the newer options, such as tii or turbo.
Thanks, I would really appreciate that. My post was not intended as to give you a bad review, I got lots of positive comments on the keychain and I really like it. I didn't even think of contacting you when it happened cause the rivet was still in my pocket and i was going to try fixing it, but alas, I lost it.
The fact that its only happened a couple times proves its a good product

The river fell apart on mine after only a couple times of use I ended up losing the rivet so the ring just floats around on the band.

Thanks guys! I pulled the idle jet out and it was plugged solid. Cleared that and she fired right up and idled great. I checked the bowl, it has a lot of dirt in there so I'm going to just get a kit and replace all the gaskets and filter. I'm sure it hasn't been touched in a long time so this is a good excuse to reseal and set it up properly.

I've been bombing around town with my 72' and it was running great. Couple hours later when I went to drive it, it won't idle at all. Just stalls unless I, A) keep the idle up at about 2000rpm pump the pedal, quick small revs (I assume the accel. pump keeps feeding it fuel)
When cruising it feels like it surges at low rpms.
I pulled the air cleaner off and tried starting it but can't see any fuel coming out unless you squirt the throttle. What should I be looking for? I don't have much experience with carbs but assume maybe it needs a rebuild? Is there a jet maybe plugged up?
I have a weber 38 on the shelf but no manifold for it yet and I think it might be overkill for the currently stock engine. Still pondering just getting the manifold and putting that on anyways.
I won't even go into the fuel pump compatibility I'm having with the new Pierburg pump.... I'll search that one

Does anybody know where I can get replacement trim pieces for my seats? I'm looking for the chrome rings that go on the seat where the headrest installs and the the trim surround where the backrest pull lever is. Mine is all peeling or already off
I havent checked with the dealer yet however
Thanks

You could always just get a Braille battery for less money. I ran a Braille for several years on my VR6 gti with no issues.

Welcome! Definitely try to get out to the Vintages at the end of August, its a blast. I have a feeling you're a VW guy as well? Corrado steelies on your 02 and a Corrrado in the background...
As for your question, its sitting high because it doesn't have the motor in it. In my opinion, they sit high even with one!

@Anthony Its going to the track next weekend so I can do 2 novice races with it. I guess I'll pull it out again over the winter and do it. Just don't have time to drill them and safety wire at this point.
