Go team! 2002FAQ to the rescue!

I agree with the comments above. Also, if he pays for the return shipping and you refund his money, you may well be able to sell the gauges for more, with full disclosure, despite the blemishes. Everyone wins. Good luck.

Thanks for the update. Those wide steelies look the business!

Thanks for sharing your adventure, Jim! It sounds like the car treated you well throughout. The pictures came through as attachments and look great.

I could look at these wheels all day.

I wanted to give a big shout out to everyone who put the time and effort into making yesterday's event such a success! It takes a lot of hard hard work to pull something like that off. Thank you to all of the volunteers!

Well crud... I always liked that car. I think you and I were bidding on it on eBay...
Ed
Hey there, Ed! Crud indeed! I think you and I did unknowingly fight it out several years ago. Letting it go was definitely the right move for me but it is still sad to part with it. The upside is that I'm likely to drive my '02 more often.

Hello everyone. My NK has found a new home in Los Angeles. The new owner is very enthusiastic and has plans to breathe new life into the car. You might see him check in here for updates and support.
Ideally, I would have kept the NK longterm but this was the right move. This forum has been great even if I'm primarily a lurker! The passion and personality here are fantastic. There is no need for farewells because I'll still check in from time to time, and I will continue on the '02 side.
All the best.

Niki Lauda! Lucky dog. I don't need the trunk mat but couldn't resist playing!

I'm not going to be buying these seats but I sure will be looking at the pictures a lot. Very nice indeed.

Hi Dave. I’ll leave this tranny issue to Ed and others who are more knowledgeable but I do want to congratulate you on the car. She appears to be a nice example. One solution to your current problem would be to swap in a manual. That extra pedal adds a lot of fun!
Welcome to the group!

I should have created a post as Alberto did because I am looking for a tii booster as well. If anyone has one available, please PM me. Thanks.

The good news is that the downloads worked for me on my Mac running Safari. The bad is that we are not going to make it tomorrow after all. Sonoma County's stay at home order takes effect at midnight tonight, and despite the fact that this event is very low risk given the precautions taken, we are going to sit this one out. We are going to miss it and wish those that can and will participate all the best. Special apologies/thanks go to Larry and Pete for your efforts putting this together.

Price: $75Location: Santa Rosa, CA 95404
Description:I am parting with this black, leather wrapped steering wheel. There is no indication of which brand, but "Made in Italy" and "7/79" are stamped on the back. On the front side there is a small sticker which reads "BMW Motor Sport", which may or may not be original, and a stamping reading "E 10733." The wheel measures 35 cm (13.78 inches). The leather shows signs of age but the stitching is secure and it is in good condition overall. Steering wheel only, hub and horn button are not included. $75 plus shipping. Thank you.

Ben & Wendell--
If you just show up at the start I'll hand you the route instructions. I'll also post them and the photo key on FAQ within a day or two following the rally.
Brian-- Are you bringing your family, including your eagle-eye kids, with you?
Hi there, Larry! Yes, the girls are my secret weapon so they will be there.

Same great event, new and improved graphics! I'm taking a month off from the BCR to make this one. My family wouldn't forgive me for missing it. Looking forward to the 12th!

Thank you for this...I assume that you either shaved the passenger side mount somehow or shimmed the driver's side?
I may actually have a potential lead on a rare 2000ti booster, which should be even more ideal (from what I can tell) than the 2002tii booster, so fingers are crossed there.
I should have specified in my last post. Yes, we shimmed the driver's side a bit. Good luck with your pursuit of the 2000ti booster!

@brbrian73 I just got an IE manifold two weeks ago from them over the phone, when it was listed "out of stock" on their site. I can't recall if he said I got the last one or not, but I know I got their last shorty header (to use on my NK). It doesn't hurt to give them a call on either, if you're interested. A few NKs have showed-up with IE's "shorty header" now and it seems to fit just fine...it's designed to connect to the factory downpipe on an '02, so should bolt right up. Love your setup...glad I saw your notes on the Tii booster, I've been wondering what to do...
You're absolutely right about following up with IE regarding items listed as out of stock. If the Supersprint set doesn't work out, I may reach out to them about their shorty headers. Jim Huff's Gray Ghost is one of the NKs successfully using them.
One more tip on the clearance issue with the booster: while the air filter elbows just cleared the tii booster, we adjusted a motor mount slightly to give a couple more millimeters.

funny you should say that - I have a supersprint that i've been messing about with to fit my new stroker engine going in the NK. It won't fit without messing about quite a bit, and if you have the earlier NK specific subframe with the bolt on idle arm it really won't fit. I changed to the later style subframe because I kept breaking the drivers side motor mount and I've actually cut down the idle arm a few mm to clear the header. Sounds a bit extreme, but I don't believe there's any issue in doing this. Then by sliding the 2 parts of the header apart to make it longer it should work. But I'm having to chop up the end anyway to fit a larger diameter exhaust. It's doable, but requires a lot of messing about. There are off the shelf options in Germany, but $$$ and I'm on a covid induced budget.
Wow, it's so helpful to hear that you are attempting the same thing with Supersprint. I have the later subframe so your experience with the idle arm is great to know before starting. I will definitely post an update here after moving forward.
Thanks again.

North Bay Bavarian in Santa Rosa is a little north of your desired range but they have done this sort of work in the past. It would be worth a phone call.
