So I have begun a project to swap a mazda rotary into my old 2002. some people suggested I keep a blog of my progress so here goes.

Hmm, all I could find in my searches was a 12A swap actually. But that's reassuring! At least now I know it's possible haha!

Hello fellow 2002 owners! I have just recently purchased a used (obviously) '76 2002. It's slightly rusty, and the engine has been butchered by a heavy duty mechanic student. My intention is to restore the body (perhaps in the Alpina styling), and to install what I believe to be the best creation of a German mind, the Wankel Rotary. A Mazda 13B to be precise. I KNOW! I know, the japanese built it. But it's a German's idea and I think they're awesome. What I'm hoping for is to hear the thoughts on this idea from the other 2002 owners of this forum. I don't want to piss off a ton of people with a stupid idea after I've done it. And before anyone asks: The little M10 is in workable shape, aside from some vacuum and timing issues (and a small carb). Hello Everyone!
