  1. Hello you may want to try Firma Cashel in Germany, he may be able to better assist you. I rarely seen them available here only a couple times in USA. There is a veterama old car swap meet in Germany too I think in March you may find them there too!!

Thanks for the suggestion Mike- being in Europe I have queried all the 2002 specialists of which I am aware. Based upon in person experiences with Cashel, I am very hesitant to ever do business with them again- a long story. But I am finding that when you have an older car, sometimes you are forced to bite the bullet and deal with businesses that you would normally walk away from because they are the only one that have the parts.

But I am interested in this old car swap meet that you speak of- I looked at the Veterama website - it looks fairly general old car centric part show. I read about vendors, but did not find anything about a swap meet. Do you have first hand knowledge of the event? Hockenheimring Baden-Württember is a 13 hour drive one way for me, so I am not really interested in making the trip unless I know more about the event than what their webpage shows.

Thanks Again for your suggestion & if you know more about Veterama, please let me know.

  2. Hi, I am looking for what seems to be a very hard to find part- a interior dashboard vent cover. Please take a look at my parts wanted post and if you have one, I am more than interested. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,0/page,viewtopic/p,994878/#994878

I apologize if I have contacted you before in the past, I have been searching for this part for months and I cannot remember everyone whom I have asked.

  3. Hello All,

I am not steering wheel savvy. I have one and I have a logo in the center of it that looks cheap that I would like to replace. This is all I know at the present. I am hoping that the forum members will be able to point me in the right direction.

First, I assume that in order to be able to find a replacement logo, I need to know what type or make of steering wheel I have. Or at least this is what I have been told. Unfortunately, I have no idea! So I am uploading some photos to see if anyone can help.

Here is a better pic of the cheap logo- I hate it!

I have been led to believe that the steering wheel hub can give a hint as to the type of steering wheel- here is a photo

Any advice and assistance would be appreciated- to include advice on where to buy a new logo inset.

    Thanks!

Late thanks for the reply, but I am a Non-Polish speaker living in Poland. Your idea is great, but I have already checked with BMW dealers in Germany, Poland and the USA. Thanks again.

  5. Still looking- anyone have one? Or, can you direct me to a business which may have them in stock? I am a US service member serving in Poland so I have been dealing with German companies for parts and am not familiar with what is in the US- so if you can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.
