A little update.. it just got some rebuilt calipers, new rotors/pads, lines, and front wheel bearings. Waiting for more paychecks to keep going on this fun little gokart. It's amazing how many people know what it is. It definitely turns heads. I get a lot of honks and waves

well this is going to sound pretty stupid, and it was i was removing a battery in the rain (!) and managed to cross something, I still can't recall what I hit, but there was a pretty loud zap and huge flash and I got the crap shocked out of me. I crossed something with my left hand, and the 12mm wrench and two halves of a terminal brush in my right hand all got welded together. my right hand wasn't touching anything else. luckily this didn't result in injury to anything but my pride

haha yea, that actually wasn't me.. a family member took care of buying it and getting it all legal. i actually just flew back from testing it out this weekend. the first and immediate thing I need to do is figure out the fuel system gremlins. the tank is full of nasty things which have managed to clog the filter on the tank side and show up in the filter on the carb side. also included with the car was a Holley FPR which will probably be installed soon. I have a million and a half questions about this car if you ever get bored

Just want to let you know I now own this awesome vehicle. the thread has been inspiring and work will continue. not all is lost. part 2 begins! but in a different direction. the body needs a lot more work than im willing to pay for anytime soon. however the thing has serious sleeper potential. not decided what route to take but one of them involves a tranny swap and a high revving m10. only time and paychecks will tell. as it sits though, man what a fun car.
