  1. http://jalopnik.com/5694777/67-of-vehicles-sold-in-us-have-manual-transmissions Apparently, it's from an old Datsun. However, ebay doesn't have any of the reverse-beside-1st knobs floating around. Where can I get one! perfect for the 02.
  2. Having the same problem.. Despite the slow cranking "whomp whomp....whomp whomp..." it would eventually start and run fine. However, this morning it decided not start...and I've been trying to get it to start all morning now. 1976 2002 4 speed smog delete
  3. Thank you so much! Fixed my problem! I'm not sure if I would have ever discovered the issue.
  4. I'm interested in the U-channel fitting that fits snuggly over the bottom of the driver side window. Would you separate? ianrsheeley@gmail.com
  5. A switched 12+ - Then I assume I can run a wire from the underside of fuse 12 to it then?
  6. Pardon my igonorance - which side of the carb is the primary side? There is a spade connection disconnected on the valve cover side of the carb near the fuel pump. However there are no wires running loose that seem to connect to it. I believe I disconnected it when removing the smog harness and assumed it was apart of that whole shenanginary. Is this what you're referring to? Also - there is a plug with a spade end that is disconnected near the dizzy on the backside of the engine pointing up - does that connect to anything?
  7. I don't see any obvious vacuum leaks...all the nipples on the manifold under the carb are intact. I can't imagine that the intake manifold gaskets decided to fail at this particular time either.
  8. I'll definitely check again - however I havent really touched any vacuum related during the removal of the smog gear.
  9. I recently picked up a '76 2002 that seems to have had some of the smog gear removed already (those little bell things on the firewall were missing, plugs dangling) the car ran fine and idled well, no complaints. I finished the job today - removing the harness and the various connections around the intake manifold and fuse box. I then ran a wire from fuse 12 to the positive end of the coil. However, the car is more difficult to start now and will not idle. I can keep it alive when a little gas but at part throttle it seems to stumble. Revving the engine seems smooth, however. The distributor doesn't have any vacuum lines running off of it, so I assume it is the mechanical type. Thoughts?
  10. Also interested in your AC! Drop me a line at ianrsheeley@gmail.com
