Good stuff, thanks guys. Will update once I have this figured out. Thanks again.

Thank you for all of the replies. Hope to meet some of you Atl guys soon.
Mike, I spoke with Aaron before and after I bought my 02. He recommended RWL as Quantum Mechanics doesn't work on 2002's. Bonus: It's less than a mile from my house.

Cool, thanks. That's what I thought, just wanted to be sure.
Car runs like crap. Have to feather the throttle while it warms up for 3-5 minutes. Then seems to run ok but stumbles a bit under 1k and over 5k. Will give it a good cleaning then try & rebuild it.
Found a few threads on 32/36 vs 38. They seem to indicate the 38 will give you more power/performance but can be harder to tune than the 32/36. Would gladly sacrifice a little power for reliability. Any thoughts?
Again, I've had this car for 2 weeks and am still getting to know it.

Thanks again for all of the replies.
Matt, your link to your pics is not working for me. If my electric fuel pump is in my trunk, ( I hear a "whirring" noise from the trunk when I first turn the key), where should the fuel filter go?

Awesome, thanks for the input. New to 2002's, so this is very helpful. Keep 'em coming.

Hello all. Mark here in Atlanta, GA. Just picked up a 1973 2002 last week. Pretty clean car with very little rust. Spent most of its life in Oregon. A couple of questions/observations. Any insight is appreciated.
Car seems to run really cold. Bucks, snorts, back fires and won't idle properly for the first 5 minutes. Once it's running, feels strong until around 5,500 rpm, then stumbles a bit. Carb issue? How simple is a rebuild? My attempt at rebuilding the carb on my 1986 Toyota Pickup was a disaster. Ended up buying a Weber. Runs much better now. Is the 32/36 the carb most people go with?
Temp gauge runs 2/3 to 3/4 on the hot side. Normal? Outside temp has been in the mid 80's the last week or so.
Shifter linkage rubs the drive shaft from time to time.
Steering has a little play in it. Not a big deal, but could be tighter.
Horn doesn't work.
Driver's seat is shot. Pretty sure they are not stock. Can anyone tell from the attached pics?
Keyless entry and alarm installed. Sweet.
Car came with an extra set of 13" Enkeis fitted with snow tires. Will post those for sale soon. Not much use for snow tires here in Atlanta.
May end up taking my car to RWL German Imports on Edgewood Ave. here in Atlanta. Anybody have any experience with them?
I would like to meet up with a fellow, Atlanta area 2002 owners for some advice. Anybody?
Thanks in advance for your response.
