    i was wondering if it was possible to use a equalizer connected to an amp instead of a cd/radio head unit. the reason i am asking is that i never will or want ot listen to the radio nor do i want to lug around loads of cd's, i have an mp3 player and i do not want to pay $$$ for a head unit that has an aux jack. if anyone has this set-up in there '02 i would like to see pictures of how it is done. thanks!

    i am getting really confused on this whole radio thing, on crutchfield almost every cd receiver i select says that it won't fit. the question i have is how come the cd units do not fit eventhough the deminsions are correct. i think it is becuase the wiring in my 02 is 8 pin and the radios on crutchfield are single DIN. could that be the reason why they do not fit? if so how would i change the wiring in my car to DIN so that i could install a new radio in my car.

    i have a 1972 2002 tii with a behr a/c and i have been looking for a head unit for months, but everywhere i look (crutchfield.com and best buy.com) it seems like every radio i choose the website says the radio will not fit. i just would like to know what head units you guys have in your 02.

    i am in the process of installing a steering column guibo on my tii and the manual that i am looking at says something about a earth strap or a spring? when i look on maximillain the diagram is pointing to the middle hole of the guibo and the part is a spring. does anyone know what the spring is for?

    i ordered a guibo joint from maximillian and i received it today and i was wondering if anyone knew how to install the guibo on a 2002 tii steering column. pictures would be great! thanks

    bill.in.mont., my car is a tii fuel injection, i do not have a carburetor.

    the reason it was sitting for so long is that my dad procrastinates ALOT and he never got around to keeping the car in driving condition. but i am getting my licensce soon and i thought working on the car would be a good experiience. i did do a oil/filter change and removed the old gas from the gas tank, and checked the coolant leve. but i did not check the gas hose for leaks etc. i will do that when i get home. thanks the only problem i have are that the electrical is totally screwed up. my turn signals dont work, my speedometer does not have a correct reading, and a some moderate work here and there, besides all of that my dad said everything else was up to par.

    i am currently working on getting my dad's 1972 2002 tii that has been sitting in the drive way for 8-9 years i am trying to get it running again becuase if i do then i can have it. i am wondering why my engine will fluctuate between 2000-3000 rpm while the car is idle. i am a noob to cars entirely, and i just want to know what might cuase this to happen.
