Thank you, much appreciated!

Hi Guys,
I am trying to find out if the 700 VIN and engine numbers should match, or are they not matching numbers on the car but matched via a database in Munich.
Also, does anyone have a brake down of the VINs through the years and what they mean (VIN decoding)?
Thanks in advance,
Doug-

Hi,
I was the seller, and the car was sold on October 31st 2021.
The scammer who has it listed now took the information and photos from my ad and created one of his own. I have complained to Offer Up, but it is still on their site.

Wow!!! Congrats Greg!
I was wondering what happened to that car.
Glad to see it's in good hands, and in a beautiful part of the country too!

Actually, in 1967 those fasteners were all clear zinc (silver) or black. A few things might have been gold, possibly calipers and the clamp holding the outer base for the clear half shaft boots (the V band). Things didn't become consistently gold until after 1971.
I own a very original '67 1800 and everything is either black or clear zinc, and I'm restoring a '71 2800CS and almost everything on it is clear zinc except for a hand full of black bolts and the gold calipers.

Looks like a fantastic opportunity for someone to get a great New Klasse coupe to restore or build the way you want.
Pretty challenging project, but it looks like a very solid shell to start with!

Daniel, your car looks so tough!
I just looked at my post again and realized I put the wheel size as 15x7 ET19 and it's actually 15x7 ET25...
Did this string help Chantelle Whittaker?

I'm not sure if that was his inspiration, but the previous owner had the vinyl top installed when he had some paint work done in 1971. it was trendy back then, and I've come to like it as well!

Mojojoy's wheels are the same dimensions as the TISA wheels!
I'm running Rota RBs, 15x7 ET19 on my 1800 with no issues.
Here's some pics so you can see how they fit!

Great to hear it. And glad uour seal was good enough to use. I had to cut mine out.
A new early style seal would have been my first choice...

Hey Daniel.
You probably already have this done, but if you don't, its best to put the whole thing together on the bench.
Tape everything into place every 10 inches or so. When putting the cord into the slot on the backside, create a about a 6" crossed loop in the center of the top and the two ends crossed about 6" at the bottom. Then set the windshield assembly in place, and start pulling the seal in at the center, both top and bottom. (This keeps the the windshield from riding up out of the opening.) Then work each side into place, saving the upper corners for last.
Hope this helps!

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for either:
A. A later style rear seal
or
B. Both early style front and rear seals.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
