  1. I guess that 345 being from a 82 car would be the 345/4? I.e. four bolt output flange? What I found with 345/10 (the only available in Australia, three bolt flange) was that the centre bearing had to be lowered by about 1cm to bring the tailshaft in alignment. Also, because of the longer, heavier 'box, the rear support is not really enough and needs something beefier to take the engine vibration without hitting the clutch slave on the tunnel. Let us know how you go.
  2. Not sure if "forged" here refers to what is considered commonly today as forging. The journals are nitrided, I suppose this is common knowledge, but I think Mobile Tradition would be able to indicate if there was any forged crank in these cars.
