  1. Yeah, clickbait, I know. Guilty as charged.

So here is the thing, I was driving the Tii that you all were absolutely critical in my getting back on the road today and it occurred to me that I had not said thank you for the help in quite a while

You all are a fantastic set of humans that I've not really been participating in the forum with because the car just keeps running and running well. I haven't really needed anything, so I've been focused on other less reliable marque projects.

So very belated best wishes for a Happy New Year, thank you for all of the help, and I appreciate being part of the community here even if I have been rather absent.

  2. Huh - posted a couple days ago that I got these installed and it fixed the issue. Not sure what happened to that post, sorry.

These were the best $5 ever spent on a BMW.

If you don't have these - get them and install them (after letting them sit in near boiling water for 5 minutes).

Thank you all very much for the discussion and information.

  3. Hi folks - very VERY belated happy new year to all.

I have a road trip coming up and would really like to get my doors to stay properly closed. They fit fine - which is the good news. The bad news is if you close then lm they don’t stay fully closed so the door sits proud of the body.

I know door fit can be a pain but in my case it is just staying closed as the issue since the alignment otherwise is good. When I lean on them it’s all good but hard to do that at 70 mph.

Old door seals so new fluffy ones isn’t the issue 🙂

Any ideas that you can throw my way?

    Thanks!

  5. Hello folks, hope everybody is doing OK at midst of the craziness.

The drivers door on my 1974 doesn’t quite close flush to the body, and it looks to me like the large post on the body of the car needs to be adjusted inward a little bit. Before I go and try to loosen that up I want make sure that that’s actually the right way to do it. I know that there’s a latch adjustment as well but that looks like it’s already in the right place.

it’s a little perplexing as to why the door fit is off because the car is super straight and there’s zero accident damage that I’ve come across.

     Thanks!
