Well for what its worth here's my 2 cents worth, My problem and i'm sure many others, is that we don't get on the forum everyday. I get on here when I need a part, or when I have something to sell, but even then, I have a network of folks that I know have stuff or that I have dealt with before and don't always use the forum. In short there needs to be a proactive way to let people know whats going on locally and how to get involved. North Carolina has a very active 02 group, maybe we should start one and develop a data base of 02 owners / members. As with everything someone has to organize the effort and someone would have to manage it. I would help but don't know how much time I could devote to it.

WTB ALL hardware and cables that attach to the sunroof panel, don't need tracks or the panel itself just a complete hardware package. Could also use a complete set of the 5 bearing sheets that the cables ride on in the front of the sunroof (2) curved (3) straight .

Will take the sunroof panel and tracks to get the parts if necessary

I need the NLA cap that separates the sun roof cables from the roof, (goes under the aluminum channels) Also looking for a battery box / rear shock tower brace for battery relocation to trunk.

Spoke with Dave Donahue today (HobieDave) I think he may be in for the trip, I'll have to check my reservations but he is thinking about leaving on Thursday. How about you, I'm flexible

Just an update, Thanks for stopping and checking on me on the side of the road on Thursday. Turns out you were correct, it was the injector pump belt, AC belt broke and apparently took out the injection pump belt with it. Got towed to the BMW Dealer in Albany, they located a belt in Jacksonville, overnighted it and had me out the door about 2:30 the next afternoon. Drove straight through to the MId America 02 Fest got in about 3:30 am, just in time for a nap and a shower. Drop me a line about the trip to the vintage next month.
