  1. CAR HAS BEEN SOLD

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290589182913&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT#ht_500wt_1182

Regrettably I need to sell my car, for somewhat complex reasons. It has been a joy to own and I hate to see it go, I hope it will serve someone else as faithfully as it has served me. Current asking price is $4,200 or best offer; which is much less than I have into it, sadly.

Here are some more I have taken of the car while I've had it. (it no longer has the foglights)

Feel free to contact me (Nick) with any questions. Car is located in Concord.

  2. See title. I have been irrationally searching for E23's lately, for a number of reasons. The main one is that I feel bad driving my 02 everywhere. It isn't low mileage, but it was always garaged its whole life and it is in really great shape (orig paint, uncracked dash, etc.) I can't keep it indoors, and I am unable to give it the regular wash wax & detail it deserves. It gets driven and parked wherever I need to go. For a while now I have been thinking of switching to something bigger, something more practical for daily use (A/C, fuel injection, etc.) and namely something that is more replaceable but still has some unique style. Something in me just loves the first 7 for some reason. My main problem is I get bored with cars, I have never owned one longer than 6 months with 1 exception. This is the off topic board, right? :P

  3. I just noticed this yesterday, as I don't do much driving with the windows up. But when I am going down a hill, or just slowing down for a stop sign there is this humming that sounds like it is coming from the back of the car. When I push in the clutch it immediately stops. I'm thinking diff?

  4. Me:

    1975 BMW 2002 (obviously)

1968 Plymouth Sport Satellite - In storage while I'm in college. Great Grandma's car, 80K miles all original.

    Mom:

1999 Mercedes Sl500 (depreciation is your friend)

    Dad:

    1999 Chevy Tahoe - DD

1939 Chevy Business Coupe - The Hot Rod

1970 Dodge Challenger T/A - Original paint, 75K miles. Last driven in 1979, just out of storage about 2 weeks ago.

1967 Chevy Chevelle - SS 396 4 speed car, project

    1967 Chevy Chevelle - 350 4 speed car, project

1964 Chevy Nova - Very, very, VERY. Fast. ~12 second quarter mile

1932 Ford 2 door sedan - Project, body off frame. 302 from a Z/28, still wears what's left of the original paint. LONG term project.

Fleet is somewhat reduced at the moment, usually dad has a couple more. :P Can you tell that I'm the odd one out?

  5. Here's the way my car is currently, I think my last one had it run through the small grommet below where the one on this car is. It is a bit difficult to capture from the engine side because my car is a 75, and still has a lot of disconnected emissions stuff in the way.

  6. Don't know of anyone on the Peninsual per-say, Sherman Yee in SF is very good (used to work on my tii as well as Inkatouring's, but not sure if he is doing that anymore?). Not quite as far as Casey and other option would be Allen Hardy (H&B BMW Service in Berkeley).

I hear through the grapevine about 6 months ago that Sherman is only doing work for close friends at the moment, and is essentially retired. I can place yet another vote for Sean Casey.

  7. I had a set of the Bosch "Weeble" plugs, and I can confirm that mine flopped all over the place as well. I wouldn't mind a set of them right now however. I don't know what kind my car has on currently, but it seems like every 500 miles or so one of them comes randomly unplugged. Not flopping around, just unseated off the plug. It's maddening!
