  1. Awesome build man! Its really cool to see that people are making those power numbers on carbs! A lot of people think 300+ bhp is ONLY possible with EFI. Its also good to know that your making that hp and have had no problems with drivetrain. Do you ever run sticky tires or launch it hard or is this thing a highway roll it on kinda car? Cheers!
  2. Im just signing on for this one and all i can say is beautiful work so far. I can only hope that my future 2002 comes out something like yours will. Keep up the stellar word dude!
  3. Tuning is the major thing here. Technically with the same boost levels, you will make more power on a higher compression motor than a lower one. (if you can tune it) And for my frankenstroker m50, i plan on building for an 8.8:1 CR. I also plan on pushing around 20psi boost! Anyway, sounds awesome dude. Keep it up and take pictures!
  4. Looks awesome dude! As far as using the stock temp senders, there's a program called "Easytherm" that allows you to run what ever temp senders you want. Because the temp senders are simple thermistors, you can "calibrate" the sender by measuring the resistance at three temperatures: ambient air, boiling water and an ice bath. Make sure you have a temp reading of each one . Im pretty sure easy therm allows you to choose what temperatures your resistance values are at.
  5. Great build dude! Looks like it will be quite the car. Im pretty new to 2002's and im wondering what kind of horsepower the drive line can take. I know m10's are good for some boost. One e30 guy was making upwards of 350whp on an m10. Thanks! Keep it up!
  6. Awesome swap man! Looks great so far. Im very interested in the wiring aspect of this. Im sure there arent too many wires just because the chassis doesnt have a whole lot but its still interesting. I cant wait to see it done. Im leaning towards doing the same thing but adding a MLS head gasket, arp head studs and a nice turbocharger and see what shell make
