  2. Great! thanks for the feedback, and great technical info at IE.
  3. I am sure this has been asked a hundred times before, but I want to put Rota RB 15 x 7's on my 74 tii. Does anyone know what the proper offset should be and the proper tire size to avaiod rubbing? Suspension is only about 1/2" lower than stock. Would I be better of with 15 x 6's, and what would the offset be for those. Thanks for your help.
  4. 1974 BMW 2002 tii for sale $6500. - Commerce City, Colorado (near Denver) General description: This green BMW 2002 tii is a classic. Vin #2780019, all vin number tags match. This was the 19th square light tii built, I think it is the earliest square light tii on the road. 14” x 6.5” black basket weave wheels (and spare). Lowered suspension. Both front and rear bumpers have been shortened which give it a much better look. Wood BMW shift knob. ODO shows 83,000 miles, but it does not work, I believe it is about 153,000 according to previous owner. I have had this car for 2 years. I purchased from previous owner in San Diego, CA. I have driven the car about 1500 miles since I have owned it. Clear Title in hand. No AC and No sunroof. The Good: - Engine and mechanicals are great. Car starts right up every time. - Brakes are good - New Suspension techniques Springs. With Bilstein HD shocks in rear and Bilstein Sport shocks in front. (front shocks and springs have not been installed yet, new in box ready to go.) - Upgraded Radiator form a 318i with electric fan. Never overheats! - Battery relocated to trunk - Upgraded 5-speed transmission - It has the door panel map pockets from the Lux model - Detachable face – Alpine CD stereo w/ amp mounted beneath rear seat - H4 headlamps - All lights work, intermittent wipers work, new plus, points, wires battery a couple hundred miles ago. - Front strut brace - E30 80 Amp Alternator - E30 rearview mirror with working map lights. The Bad: You will see from this list that most of the restoration parts listed in the ‘solution’ section below, address any of the not so good issues. Ready for restoration: - Small spots of surface rust. Nothing critical other than edge of hood listed below. - Front edge of hood is rusted underneath where water collected. Not really visible, but I think the hood will need to be replaced. This is the only body panel that would need work. - Gear shift is a little stiff to get into 2nd gear for the first 30 seconds of driving, then it is smooth. - Drivers seat has some cracks In the vinyl (Replacement Recaros included, see below) - Original paint was Amazongun, was repainted Jade green at some point. Paint is faded by the California sun, needs a good paint job. - Rear emblem is slightly chipped. (New emblems included, see below) - Odometer does not work (Working gauge cluster included, see below) - Heater fan not working (re-stored working heater box and fan included, see below) - Horn does not work - Seals need replacement (New seals included, see below) - Door hinge brakes/stops are loose and need to be replaced The Solution: I have collected most of the parts to bring this car to the next level. These parts are included in the sale but have not yet been in stalled: - Ireland Engineering front spoiler – not painted - New - European flat turn signals - New – rear license plate lights - Almost perfect replacement dash with no cracks - Re-upholstered Black Recaro front seats from a 320is - New - urethane bushings - Re-furbished working and tested heater box, core, control cables and fan.
