Price: $150Location: Santa Clara, CA
Description:*sold*
Here's a rear seat set from an e24 635 that I started to trim the back shell to fit my 2002, but then I got distracted and gave up. I've decided to recover the stock bench, so these need to go. The vinyl is still soft and supple. There are a few blemishes, but no tears, rips or cracks. I started on one seat back to make it fit in the 2002, but did not finish; the other seat is untouched I'm pretty sure... this project started and died years ago. I believe I trimmed back the armrest upper shell a bit, but I honestly don't remember. Asking $150 for the whole set. I'm in Santa Clara, CA and can deliver in the south bay. I'd rather not ship, sorry. I can also send better pics via text message or email. PM with your email or #

Keep in mind, a "short throw" shifter only shirtens travel fore-aft; side to side motion will be the same as stock.
IMHO, shortening the throw wont let you change gears any faster. And no matter what you do, that 240 box wont ever have the light, slick shifter feel of a modern car, it'll just feel different. For a while. Then you'll get used to it, which it sounds like you have already.
If you like the way the stock shifter action feels, keep it. If you want to make it "feel" faster, by all means try it. How's that for a non-answer?

I scored a factory manifold, so I'm letting this one go. Modified for an external wastegate, I was planning on just blocking this port off since it's not in an ideal spot. Mounts the turbo low towards the firewal (pretty sure, never mounted it up to check) Good heavy casting. $120 shipped inside the US

I have a pair of solex phh 40 bodies with 34mm chokes and a pair with 30mm chokes, plus a bevy of parts. I was running the 34's for a while, but fell into some mikuni 44's which better suited my lust for power. If you can find some gaskets and jets, I'm confident you could make a good running set from this stash. Part of my move to the mikuni's was jet availability, which is poor, but better than what I could find at the time for these solex's.
I can probably fit these into two flat rate boxes. $300 obo shipped inside the US

I have AAA and the bare legal minimum in CA, plus some additional uninsured motorist coverage (not sure of $ amount) When I started the policy with just the '02 is was like ~$450 a year. I can't imagine how they reached $300 a month with you, unless you have some crazy at-fault collision coverage.

headgasket blown between 1&2 or 3&4? It's happened to me. Do a compression check

still looking. This is the solid plastic one, not the leather-wrap type

Don't forget about the steering column lock machanism! You'll need to disable it if not running the factory switch

The wash/delay-wipe relay in the engine compartment went out one day and stuck the wipers on till I unplugged it. Can't use the washer anymore, but the pull-out knob still runs the wipers just fine

I'm between these two versions from Bavauto-- the street + limited track and the High performance street + regular track. Granted, I'll be doing 95% commuting, 4% mountain/backroads and 1% actual track. I prefer some vibration damping bushing over the more serious solid mounts I've seen elsewhere. I'm leaning towards the High perf since it has pretty alignment marks machined into it so I can fiddle without taking multiple trips to an alignment shop. Any opinions/experience with either version?
Thanks

My choke cable exits the firewall just above the brake booster support and is secured by a small clip (to the support). This was the original factory install and prevents the cable from interfering with anything else.
