  1. thanks for the info. any idea what jet sizes to change to? pretty hot environment out here with temps up to 90F during the summer. how about manifold or throttle linkages.. any changes there?
  2. Dear all, seem to have been away for a while and as to your question of any 2002's in Israel..sure we have a few.. targa, touring, tii, havent seen any turbos though.

Having all sorts of strange experiences with my old solex carb on my 1602 1971 BMW. the thought of ditching the old carb which is looking tired and fitting a brand new carb is looking like the way forward. I understand the weber 34-ich is a direct bolt on unit. Has anyone had any experience with this carb and other units that may help me out. Have recently overhauled the engine which was running great with lots of power before the carb issues. Running with 8mm spark leads K&N air filter and a petronix ignition unit. The rest is stock.   4. whenever I light my headlights, the fuel and temp guages show OVER readings! This can be a bit frightening at night when the temp looks like its in the red. I tried adding other earth leads from the engine to the bodywork but no change. anyone any ideas? also had a problem with the battery being"boiled" after long jouneys and having to add lots af water on a regular basis. If the car is left for more than a couple of days the battery is flat! need some help...battery is now dead ( no water left!) and they're not cheap!!
