I am about to do this too, but can you guys please tell me where the exactly the holes should be for the clips? I do not know what size from lets say the doors the holes should be what is the diameter of the holes and how many should be the holes. The thing is that the sideskirts were replaced and the new sheet metal came without drilled holes for this. Is there an blueprint or something where this is visible?
Pehlivanov, I took some photos from the passenger side rocker of my ‘74 02. Since mine is flared, I don’t have the measurement of the hole for the front lower fender or the rear of the rocker connected to the quarter panel. The hole diameter is about 7.5mm. Good luck! Measurements are from hole center.

Actually the small flat-rate USPS box currently costs $8.30 and only fits a VHS tape; a pair of door seals is much, much bigger. Suppose they could be stuffed into a medium size box, but they probably wouldn't look very good after delivery. We try to bag them in big loose loops to minimize twists and bends taking a set, in fact Genuine Porsche often ships their seals strapped to huge cardboard sheets in massive boxes to avoid flexing the seals out of the installed position. If you order a door seal, the box can be as big as an entire door.
USPS has been terrible lately, they often sit on packages for a whole week before even scanning them into their system, so it looks like the week delay was the shipper's fault and not theirs.
Hi, I bought the old, hard rubber URO door seals from Pelican Parts like 6 or 7 years ago. I’ve accepted that you probably can’t do anything for me regarding new, spongier rubber door seal replacements.
However, when someone purchases from Pelican Parts are you drop-shipping the new, spongier versions? I just want to avoid them shipping the old versions if they keep a stock of your parts.
I’d like to buy new improved ones because the old ones never did form to my door and therefore don’t seal water & air out. They still push my wing window frame out about 1/2” - 3/4”. I need to literally slam both doors hard to get them to latch completely.
Thx,
Mike

Hi, Still for sale at $100/shipped?

Great job and kudos for jumping in! As @AceAndrew said a few posts ago, I too, learned everything about autobody collision repair and painting at my community college. Great instructors, guidance, tools, frame rack, 2 spray down draft booths, & 3 primer bays (along with an 8-bay, 2-vehicle deep workshop...). A great learning environment! I love that you’re gaining confidence in major body repairs/refinishing! ??????

Good seeing you too, Steve! ??

Question, do you have to be a member to “wear” one of those? Or is it just like any other badge?
- ReyesWhile club membership isn’t required, the BMWCCA Police (a division of the Mattress Police) will cite you for fraud.
