Not sure I don't know the seller.  It's just a local car.  Some folks are out of the country during the Holidays.  Maybe that is the case.

This car is 8 minutes from my house if some one wants me to go take some decent resolution photos of it.

For sale is a 1972 BMW 2002. Green on brown interior, automatic. The car is in overall good condition. Body is good and 98 percent rust free. Typical spots such as the floors, frame rails, rockers, shock towers are rust free as well as the hood, trunklid, doors, quarter panels, and front fenders have no rust. Small spot of rust on the lower nose panel, that is it. Chrome is in good condition and paint shines well and is free of major scratches and dings/dents. Interior is nice and clean, seats have no rips and horsehair padding is plush. Dash has one small crack near the seat belt light and steering wheel has no cracks. No speaker holes in the doors or rear shelf by back window. Brake system has been renewed with new calipers, wheel cylinders, pads/shoes, rubber brake lines, and a majority of the steel brake lines have been replaced. New water pump and most of the coolant hoses have been replaced. Solex one barrel carb has been rebuilt recently and also the car was tuned up with new wires, cap, rotor, points and condenser. Tranny shifts as its supposed to. Engine runs smooth, however there is a mis-fire and one cylinder has low compression. Engine will need to be overhauled. Despite this, the car drives well and can be driven as is. My intention with the car was to swap the engine from a parts car into it along with a five speed manual, but with winter coming I don't have the space to do the job or store the car, so it needs to go. Clear title comes with the car, price is $5,300 or best offer. Car is located in Westfield, MA.

Marshall the reason I stopped by was I posted somebodies ACS flair kit that I saw on craigslist.  I see your M2 is running great now which is good to hear.  I have to do some work on my white M3.   It has a stumbling issue.

This car might fit in with South East DC but surly does not fit in with Fairfax.

There is a guy on R3V that is doing 500 dollar single stage paint jobs. Wonder if that is one of them.

I really like E23 but would not spend that much on a 745i unless it was a stick. Few out there that are and definitely worth it.

Ask Blunt about his Scheel-Mann's that he acquired cheap. Those were very nice.

Sure look the same to me minus the headrest which like the whole seat was a modular seat. Bolsters top and bottom could changed and materials were optional.

Regardless for a big bumper car It shows very well in photos. Hope the seller gets what he is looking for dollar wise.

By chance do you know what car those recaros came out of? I have the same ones and would love to know for reference.

I ordered a set in blue from Recaro in the late 80s for my first 2002. They are called the Recaro LS. I had the set with the larger bolsters as well. They seem to still make them for the Japanese market, and I was tempted to order a set from Japan myself. Cool seats.

those are not LS seats.....jus sayin.....for sure.

I have a Nardi that say's model LSB on it. Sure look like LS to me.
