Things that are drop downs can be filtered, free text cannot be. I can do size as a drop down with options in mm and inches.  I'll need to drop down options for others so I can add them.

Great show!  ByaRea02 folks did a great job once again putting this together. The rain did scare some people away. After 10 am, everything was clear and not as cold or windy as in the past. Due to the very high winds last year, I decided to put our tent in the parking lot. What do people think? Is it better for us to be on the grass or in the lot?

I did not get to walk around too much as I was stuck at our booth as I did not have helpers this year. They came and helped set up and then the skating lessons for our daughter took them away for the rest of the show.

I want to thank everyone who came to our house after for some Tacos and Beer. It is always great to see old faces, and I am surprised every year by how many people I still do not know or remember .  I think we had about 60 people, so that was great!!!  See you all next year!

I swear I saw the 18th. But yes, it is on thursday.

We get this two to three times a week. Hard to catch on registration. I can see when people fire off many messages in the short time they have been here, there is no notification, so I have to look every day. 

I also have found something that might help, so the time will tell.

I am waiting for some software to be completed before deploying it. It is missing the Feedback at this moment. I believe this specific Classifieds software should address a lot of concerns. Standard Forum does not meet the requirements as it is not designed to handle many of these items.  I hope we are about a month away from completion.

That is a horrible prediction, but I am "ok" with you making that. 

There are now four pages of comments in this thread. A lot of them are beneficial, and some are contradictory.  I have been thinking of what to do with the Classifieds section for a while, and this was a sign that people are thinking the same.

There are some things I do not want to do just yet. I want to keep the classifieds section mostly free for individuals selling and looking for parts.

Things that I can do right now:

• Separate parts into sections similar to our articles.
• Remove the ability to bump topics in Classifieds.
• Set up Vendor Forum and only allow paid vendors to post there. (smaller group posts are usually at the top)

Other things will take a bit more time, and I can investigate after the Swap & Show.

I have been trying to figure out how to deal with the classifieds section for a bit now. One of the things I was considering is creating a "Vendor" section. A different membership will allow the user to post in that section.  And then limiting the regular section to one post per day without bumping.

I am open to all suggestions!

Guy Ankeny used to be able to rebuild pretty much anything. I have not autcrossed in a while so I do not know if he still does things, but his suspension components were very good then. He is in Simi Valley, CA.   It might be worth a call.

Post Swap and Show "Tacos and Beer Party" is back!

Let's eat some Tacos and drink some beer after the big BayArea02 Event. Bring yourself. Nothing else is needed.

We have several beds, a couple of air beds, lots of couches, and floor space if you want to stay the night. Many have done this in the past.

The last time we managed to fit 12 cars in the driveway and the rest at the bottom of the hill. I think we can do better than that 🙂 I think 17 is the magic number.

You are welcome to jump in the pool, as it should be on the warmer side by May.

Though the event is private, we always welcome friends of friends. So invite those who you do not see on the list especially if they have been here in the past. The group has grown over time, and we always welcome great new people.
