i learned manual shifting on my dad's '64 356c, which is still in his driveway. and i must say, either of my '02s are way more car than his old porsche. the only contemporaneous cars that compete with the '02 series are the alfa gtv or, for two people, the 2.2 911e.

p.s. dean batchelor has a book on collecting porsches, and he disparages the 356 series rather badly. the only ones worth having are twin cam carreras
