On topic question - anybody modify a M10 into a two stroke?

A two stroke motor has no cam, the air/fuel is driven in by the falling piston, so the crankcase would have to be pressurized with oily gassy air.

It would be virtually impossible. You would have to start from scratch. A two-stroke has no cam, a sealed bottom end, no valvetrain, and big ol holes in the cylinders! Two different animals.

On the other hand, a 2 liter two-stroke would be interesting (remember the old Kawasaki triples?)

with a water jacket and all. How about just get a audio recording of a big multi-cylinder two stroke going through the gears, and play it really loud over a PA system when you drive your 2002?RINNNGGGGGDINGDINGDINGDingDingDingdingdingdingBAAAAAHHHHahahahahahahahaq

sunday, I'd probably start out by researching other automotive inline 2 strokes (like early Saabs and DKWs) to see how the intake and exhaust porting was set up.

Making a cylinder head out of a big block of aluminium would probably not be TOO hard, but I'm not sure how you'd make the lower end work unless you could come up with some way to put ports in the sides of the cylinders......

easy to do, make a sprocket to turn the camshaft crank speed, and you're done....next problem, valve float.
