Why did you use that style clamp for the CV joint?

Primarily due to easy availability. Also: stainless steel (band and worm screw), rolled edges on the band, not a stickler for originality, price, they work.

Haven't found a downside yet. If someone can point out an issue with using those clamps, lemme know. Happy to change them if the earth is about to tilt on its axis, or I am about to cause myself/someone else some harm.
