  1. Got it fixed. Wiggled #11 and presto. Even the stalk work both in flash and on for high beam. Thanks all for your advice.
  2. I installed new H4 Hella lights with high and low beam but I can only get low beam to work. Low beam relay works fine. High beam (HB) relay works when signal lever is pulled towards driver but HB relay does not work when signal switch is pushed away from driver. Also, when HB relay energized by pulling on signal lever, I have power on the white wire coming out of relay using my test light but no power at wiring socket at head light. Does the wire from the HB relay not go directly to the headlights? If not, then where? Also, is the signal switch faulty causing the HB relay not being energized when switch is pushed away from driver? Here is a pic of the relays... HB, LB, Horn. Any ideas where to check next guys?
  3. These seats came with my 1976 when I bought it last year. But I know they are not original from 1976 as the seat adjuster is a lever on the front of the seat bottom and the track is narrower from original seats. (custom brackets). I want to order new seat covers for them but would need to order for correct year. I would need to order new buns as well. Also any recommendations for a supplier? World Upholstery perhaps? Thanks in advance for your response.

  5. I couldn't find any topic on this bracket so here goes. Anyone know what this bracket is for? Under package tray in trunk, right side) It looks like a washer fluid tank but it doesn't make sense to be mounted here.
  6. On my 1976, it came with an LED light above the ashtray on right side (probably not stock). My research on this site shows a green push button. Does anyone else have an LED light (or indicator light) above the ashtray? Does anyone know what this light is for? I was thinking to use it for fog lights "on" indicator. Your thoughts?
  7. Found this diagram. It appears that I cant use this shark fin for my sirius xm. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.
  8. I'm trying to connect my Sirius XM tuner to a Shark Fin antenna (from a later BMW) and I'm looking for advice on how to do that. I also need to connect my am/fm radio. I also plan to have an aftermarket stereo which bluetooth and phone connect through the stereo. I found this Shark Fin on a BMW at the junkyard today and need to figure out how to connect and use it on my 1976 2002. I have no experience hooking one of these up. Will this Shark Fin work for a Sirius XM radio? Or AM/FM? Or phone? Which terminal does what? Which adapter cable do I need? Any advice much appreciated?
  9. Thanks for finding it for me. Much appreciated.
  10. I tried thingiverse.org. No longer valid. .com comes up but no sunroof cable end design that I can find. Oh well.
  11. Finally figured out how to take my sunroof apart and diagnose the problem. The little plastic piece that holds the roller pin that attaches to the cables is bust. Therefore only one side drives the roof open/closed. See pics. Anyone know who supplies these things? I don't really want to buy the whole cable system as mine is still good other than this plastic piece. I seen on Youtube a guy making one using 3D printer but I don't know how to do that. Any help would be appreciated. Pics show drivers side which is still good and broken pass side.
  12. I tried to find info on the mirror that is on my 1976, but it's difficult to sift though what my search provided. Does this look factory for 1976? Basically, I want to buy a passenger side exterior mirror to match the drivers side. See pic. Any suggestions appreciated. What do you call my style of mirror? It doesn't look like a trapezoid like some people talk about. Thanks. PS: I'm in Canada
  13. Is your badge symmetrical? Using trunk lock as being center?
  14. Trunk lid looks original. Has factory paint in bolts.
  15. Is it normal for the rear badge mounting holes to off center on a 1976? I was thinking I should drill new holes and weld the old ones closed. See pics. I'll be re-painting the car anyway. I'm assuming the pins on the badge are symmetrical. Thoughts?
  16. I'm going through my 1976 2002 and found the shifter wildly loose. After checking under the boot I found a snap ring came out. This snap ring holds down the spring and retainer that holds the shifter ball down in place. Upon looking further, someone at some time put in the wrong snap ring. The snap ring is for a shaft (outty). I will be getting the correct (inny) snap ring so that it doesn't pop out again. Please note my new technical terms. hehe
  17. Mine was backwards than the pic that you showed. Clipped into the bracket 180 degrees. I've got it now. Tach works after tying into tach wire.
  18. Thanks for your help. I tested the pin order on the diagnostic port and found it was up side down. 3 6 9 2 5 8 1 4 7 Once I found pin 9, did the splice and presto - Bob's your Uncle.
  19. After I cut much of the wires from the back of the 2 smog relays mounted on the firewall, the tack stopped working. Below is a pic of the underside of the relays showing cut wires. One wire I cut that is just hanging there (br-bl) or (bl-br)(Near bottom of attached pic) I suspect either goes to the tach or to the neg side of the coil. The wiring diagram is really hard to follow. Any thoughts about the rest of the wires that attach to the underside of the relay block? Do I connect this strange wire to the neg of the coil? Any other thoughts? (I thought I'd get some advice from you guys before I melt down the car- hehe) Car currently runs for the first time. I drained the stale gas and topped up with fresh gas and presto. Engine pops a bit so I'll give it a tune-up. Video below. BMW Running.mp4
