  1. Thanks guys, I assume it will be more obvious when I pull the wheel. Is there away I can realign th wheel when I put it back on? It's off slightly when the wheels are straight at the moment.
  2. Good day Gentleman, Any clues as to why my turn signal switch will not cancel on LEFT turns only. Right turns works fine. A quick search on this topic seems to ellude to members queries on not cancelling in both directions. Advice appreciated as always.
  3. Looking to replace my current smallish Nardi steering wheel with another with the same bolt pattern in size 370-380mm.
  4. Thanks for the great diagram. Still not sure why I have no choke on this car then. Noted thanks. Interesting that this cable exists but there is no manual choke on this particular car. Just to make things more mysterious is that this car was imported from Japan a year ago. No it isn't RHD but the ecode headlight beam pattern is for Left-hand traffic. If anyone is interested in a JDM rear licence plate mount with side illumination let me know.

  6. Mine is a 75 euro spec'ed car. There's no manual choke so a red herring then I guess?
  7. Thanks for the responses gents. I'm going to connect those knurled knobs for the gauges to a dedicated ground wire that I will attach to either the heater box bolt or drill my own hole right behind the cluster. The question remains is what is this loose mystery brown/black wire beside the black plug in my picture above.
  8. Yup tach wire is accounted for but the black wire with female termination you circled wasn't connected to anything and the brown/black wire also female is part of the wiring loom from the firewall was also not connected to the gauge cluster. There is no male spade connector anywhere on the back of the cluster it would normally go to anyway. My wiring diagrams so far don't yield any insight yet either..
  9. Further to my query, anyone know what the double brown with black striped wire is for? It wasn't connected to anything when I pulled the gauge cluster. My understanding is that there was no dedicated ground wire to to cluster.
  10. Thanks, I like the idea of the added grounds, 👍🏼
  11. Finally got around to pulling the gauge Cluster to troubleshoot the odometer but in so doing discovered a missing bulb socket for one of the idiot lights behind (L charge I think) and and a damaged white larger bulb socket from one of the tach illumination bulbs. Also found those lights to be wired with an extra ground wire for some reason. Anyone know a source for those bulb holders? TIA
  12. Ok. I do recall that the blue tube from the vapour tank was dangling loose on the side of the engine bay for some reason. I'll reconnect as per the diagram. Maybe that will help with the fumes.
  13. So for normal ops should the middle nipple of the canister which appears to be capped off by a white cap be plumbed to the vapour tank?
  14. Is this thing beyond it's useful life? Should I just delete it? What about the hose that connects it to the Carb? Thanks
  15. It's certainly beyond the scope of my expertise and unsupervised ability. I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile replacing both cylinders at the same time.
  16. Thanks for the comments gents. I'll have a closer look today and report back. Last time I checked under the car there was no foam around the box. I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking at as I'm not familiar with the system. (I'll hit the Haynes manual) I do know that the brakes felt like they needed to be bled when I had the car on the road last year a few times. Clutch actuation felt good. I wasn't planning on the mission creep of a full pedal box rebuild as I don't think the box warrants it but TMHO.
  17. My new carpet from Esty has arrived but before I Install I thought I was wondering if there was anything I had to do to the pedal box. there was some evidence of a slight fluid leak at the rubber cover which I will replace with a new one but can't find any obvious leak. See picture. I vacuumed out some crud and am planning to spray some lube on the linkages.
  18. Thanks. I think I'm going to flush the whole system and add new coolant.
  19. I assume heater valve open and add coolant at some point during the procedure?
  20. Well the heater box is back together thanks to all your encouragement and the rebuild kit. Heater core was tested and the heater valve has new seals and leaked checked. All cables are lubed and the original fan and blower motor cleaned, lubed and bench tested at all speeds. Cables and levers lubed. I'm worried about water leaking past the seal into the car. Should I add some 3m butyl strips somewhere after I install and tighten the two bolts? Also I need to top up the coolant again and worried about air pockets. What's the best procedure for this? TIA
  21. This came up on in my local market place. Anyone know if this will fit an '02? It's a Petri 836 380mm. Not sure what car it came off of.
  22. Thanks for the response gents. Based on m research I have now reason to believe my valve position is in correct. My heater box refurb will be finished tomorrow and it will be time to re install the valve. Just wondering whether I should attach it to to box first or after I bolt the box it to the firewall.🤔
  23. I looked at the tech guide carefully but it was hard to tell for sure what the proper orientation would be using the older valve internals which in my case still seem in decent shape to use. In the example pics above the arrow on the valve cover would be facing the viewer of the picture.
  24. While having my heater core tested at a rad shop I also had them leak test and replace the O rings on my heater valve. Before I re install can anyone confirm if the the valve looks correct in the full open and closed positions? See pictures of heater side of valve.
  25. Will do thanks. Looks like my brass heater valve will get a rebuild too.
