  2. Thanks for the info so it looks like there was a dealership in early 70's. I'll see if i can find any history on the address I wonder how long they were in business.
  3. https://www.davesclp.com/store/p398/1970customplate.html If your not happy with the aluminum one from that company, I can do one in steel with the correct stamping dies for a 74. I may be wrong but beliece they don't have the correct dies for for 6 digit plates. I'll only do one if the plates are registered to the vehicle already. https://www.davesclp.com/store/p398/1970customplate.html
  4. What he is saying they possibly sold promotional frames for their dealership for people that bought a BMW motorcycle. Maybe they wanted to put plate frames on their cars.
  5. That is a Possibility, I looked up the plate info and plates came off a 1970 BMW. I have seen 2 variations of the san jose bmw motorcycle frames one is blue lettering, other is white lettering.
  6. I'm in the process of restoring some plates and License plate dealer frames. I have some 1963 California plates BMW 034 and just found a pair of BMW San Jose plates frames attached to blue 1970 plates 915 BAU which were probably from a 1969 or 1970 BMW purchased at San Jose BMW. I'm looking for the correct color combo for lettering vs backround to repaint the frame example blue or white lettering vs background. I'm unable find any info online about the San Jose BMW car dealership, only about a San Jose BMW motorcycle dealership that opened in 1975. Can anyone give me any history on the auto dealership in San Jose and help me finding a good picture so I can get the color correct on the frames.
