From my understanding the 340 refers to the valve lift. I never had an original Cam Card, but from an older 2013 post here's what I found:
Norris 340
Intake 57deg open
93. Close
Exhaust 93 deg open
57. Close
Duration 330
Lobe centers 104
340 lift : 0.340" x 1.3 x 25.4 mm/inch = 11.2

Great post as I rediscover my M10 build from the late 1980s. I've got the '71 121 Head with Fly Cut Euro Tii 10:1 pistons. Running the Norris 340 with Carillo Rods.
To moderator, that was the incorrect specs on the 310° Cat Cam. I fixed the prior post so please delete this one, thanks. Not sure how to add the opened file picture.

Cat Cam also makes a 310° with LSA of 104.

I'm currently using a Norris 340 that has that same LSA with 11.2 valve lift in my modified M10 in a '70 2002. Not sure which pistons I have now, but the builder used Carillo Rods and fly cut my pistons. With my dual 45 mm DCOE Webers the recent Dyno showed 160 HP. The car is a little sluggush from 2000-2200 rpm then takes off like a sling shot at 3500-4000 rpms.
