  1. Thanks everyone for your prompt replies!  I've been away for a few days experiencing classic Mt. Baker Ski Area nasty weather, hence the delayed response.

I've reached out to Wes Ingram on KF pump work (the queue is long) and will reach out to Autosport and Pacific Auto Machine. They both look like excellent shops.

Thanks Steve (Conserv) for your advice on the issues regarding engine mods, camshafts and KF issues.  I'll certainly take that into consideration as we spec out the engine work.

My son is in his last year at WWU in the Industrial Design Vehicle Technology program and has lots of good ideas and insight into how this all comes together.  He's also the Technical Director of Western's FSAE Race Team so he's smarter than the old man on this stuff.  I'm just the grunt, bank, and car supplier.  I'm sure we'll have many more questions for you all in the future.

    Thanks again,

    Gary

  2. My son and I are doing a restomod on my 73 tii, and it's time to get serious about engine rebuilding.  Do any of you have current PNW recommendations for a good and reputable shop for this work?  We're working out the specs for the build, but hope to get sporty.

  3. Price: $750
Location: Whidbey Island, Seattle Washington area

    Description:

I'm selling the front and back seats from my 1973 tii.  These are the factory original seats as I've owned the car since 1978.  Car was stored indoors since 1989 and regularly garaged before that.  No rodent damage--they liked my other cars better. The basket weave pattern seat upholstery is in excellent condition but would benefit from a professional cleaning.  The only tears are on the rear seat back where it contacted the body. The horsehair padding is completely shot, so the seats must be dismantled and rebuilt by a competent upholsterer.  The frames and springs are in good condition but rusty.  The headrests are in excellent condition, including the chrome.  The RH front seat needs its stop tab replaced which should be done when the covers are removed.  Tilt and recline mechanisms work OK.  I can send more photos on request.  Sorry the seat rails are NOT included.  Price is negotiable, but unless you can pick them up in the Seattle WA area, you pay for shipping.

  4. Price: $500
Location: Whidbey Island Washington State USA

    Description:

Selling the complete Behr air conditioning system originally installed in my 1973 2002tii.  Removed and stored since the 80's.  Fan works, but that's the only component I've checked. See photo for all the components.  Asking $500/OBO plus shipping.  Note that if you don't want the OEM compressor that would save about 30+ lbs in shipping (and on your car).
