thank you.

I am not sweating pebble beach. That is funny. Thanks. I will look at my pile of fasteners, or just use new ones.
thank you

Finishing my restoration, put the rear seat back in, but cannot find the two screws that attach the rear seat back to the body at the bottom. Cannot for the life of me remember what the look like, and not shown or described on realoem parts diagrams. Anyone have a picture or remember if they are Phillips head, sheet metal screws? Thank you

Are you also selling them on eBay? I can just buy it there. The price is different there.
i made you an offer there to match this price.

do you still have this available?

Update - problem fixed.
The white w/ green wire that comes from the light switch was plugged into the wrong spot on the fuse panel (it was plugged into the green w/white part.) Moving in corrected the issue.
At this point all the electrical works expect for the backup lights, the brake lights and the wiper motor. Will dig into those next. I think the wiper motor is cooked. It smells like it.

No back up lights, no brake lights. All flasher work. The markers work on the left. No running lights on the right side. Nether the parking lights or the side markers work on the right.

Reverse lights and brake lights for the right side are wired through the left taillight. There should be no reason for the left side to work, but the right side not. Running lights are on a separate wire for each side.
Right, I am talking about the running lights on the right side.

Are both front and rear passenger side running lights not working?
Yes. both the front and rear marker or running lights don't work on the right side. The left side work. The blinkers / hazard lights work at all 4 corners. So I know that I have a good ground @ all 4 lights.

IIRC the power for a tii fuel pump on a '73 goes through fuse 11, same as the instruments and the seat belt warning circuit--which is not shown in the factory wiring diagram. The connecting wire from the under-dash harness is up under the far left side of the dash near the turn signal flasher box, and connects with the wire that runs back to the pump. (When added extra gauges to my car that's where I got my switched 12v power)
I had a weird problem with that fuse continually blowing on my (carbureted) '73, and traced it to the seat belt warning light circuit--the sensor in the passenger seat was shorting out. Since none of the car's lights are on fuse 11, there's either a mis-connected wire somewhere or a crossed circuit that's connecting one of the lighting circuits to the fuel pump circuit.

thanks mike. I took this car apart 20 years ago (bought it not running at that time) and don't remember when I bought it if the fuel pump was wired this way from the previous owners. I have done a complete restoration and I didn't see any weird stuff when I cleaned and repaired the wiring harness. I will pull that connection apart under the flasher relay to help trace where the issue is. I appreciate the response.

Thanks for the replies. That diagram is for later cars. Mine has a green with white wire that goes to the right side marker lights. It isn't related to the interior lights. I checked the wiring to the fuel pump, it works as it should. Green with white, and the brown ground. volt meter with key up, I have 12 volts to the wire on the back of the light switch that should turn on the right side marker lights. I have continuitywith the fuel pump circuit on that wire too, but shouldn't.They travel down the drivers side of the car in a separate conduit (one covered in tape; the fuel pump in a black flexible plastic covering.) Everything looks fine at the fuse panel too. Not sure what is going on. No back up lights, or brake lights either (have 12 volts at the brake switch and the switch tests good.) Have a good ground at all the lights bc the flashers work on all 4 corners. And the markers work on the left side. this is frustrating!

This is a very strange thing. I am finishing the restoration of my 73tii. I have keyed up and started the motor! So obviously the fuel pump works (just have to tune the fuel mixture yet w/ the Wideband o2 I have.) As I am finishing the interior I put the light switch in, and turned it on, and the fuel pump runs. No lights running lights on the right side. So, I removed the switch and jumpered power to the green and white wire that feeds the right side running lights and my pump runs. Where could I have crossed these connections? I am at a loss. The harness was out of the car, everything labeled and The only work I did to the harness was cleaning it and repair / replace broken spade connectors and re-taped it. It in general was in good shape. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Outer seat rail on driver’s side is shot, need a new one to finish restoration. I’m outside of Philadelphia. Will pay shipping. Anyone got a good spare?
Thank you!

Thank you. I, for the life of me could not remember.

I am finally working on installing the harness of my 73tii. I am curious about the routing of the wiring to the dome light (in a sunroof car.) Does it go inside the A pillar on the drivers side? Anyone have a picture without an interior of the under dashboard and how these wires go up the the b pillar? thanks!

thank you!! That helps. I will work on a solution and share here.

Thank you Mike for the thorough explanation. I will have to look for something that will work and recreate the look. BTW, I read and enjoy your column every month.

thanks John. Almost like a thumb tack with wings on the back side?

Yes, the buttons! Do you have a picture of it? I guess I don't know what I am looking for

Hi gang,
Does anyone know the part number fo the chrome fillers that go between to the license plate and the lights for the plate (it fills the hole that the euro licesne plate bolts to.) I am having trouble even finding a picture to post. I put an arrow where it goes on this picture (but it is in the center of the plate, not on the top.) thanks!

Does the tii injection pump oil return line have hose clamps on it? I don't see them on the assembly drawing on Realoem. Thanks!

I powder coated that black. The rebuilt pump is from a 73. I spoke with the rebuilder, they put the wrong lever on it. I can swap levers or go with the spring from the 74. Mystery solved. Thanks!
