  1. A few facts, the original paint is Polaris Silver and the car has matching number engine.

I almost forgot I have a brand new IE radiator in the box, also brand new S4 starter and a new Odyssey battery

for and extra $500, I will include them, that is overs $200 savings.

BTW I will take better offers

  2. Price: $19000
    Location: Florida

    Description:

This is a 1973 BMW 2002 with 70,778 miles, the car was restored by Otto’s BMW, West Chester PA in 2007, I bought the car several months ago to make it into a Hotrod DD, but plans have change, the car has no rust, and is straight. Is in great to excellent condition, everything is working, with the exception of the heater, is not connected and I have not had the time to check it. It has a Weber 36 carb and I have change the bumper brackets to earlier brackets, everything else is stock, the seats vinyls are in great shape, but it needs new pads, which I have OEM pad for the from seats, don’t have pads for the rear. The carpet and headliner are in great shape also. The car is missing the center console which I have but is not install

The cars starts right away and runs smoothly, I got the engine check tested for pressure and leak and all 4 cylinders perfect.

I was planning on adding A/C, changing the alternator to 90A, Hella H4 headlights, euro front turn signal markers, euro license plate, Nardi steering wheel, install center console and new seat pads. I also have multiple other small part and everything is included with the car.

also will include a Aftermarket AC system with all new fan, condenser, compressor, compressor bracket, hoses.

also new Alternator with all the parts needed to install, I have a lot of parts that will include.

  4. I was calling different 2002 shops and similar cars selling for more than that, but I’m not an expert that is why I’m asking here.

I bought the car several month ago, with plans of making it into a DD, and I love the car. But still since I’m in Florida I was planing on adding AC and radio. Maybe a 5 speed.

but the wife dose not like the idea, and she think is not save for me to take the kids to school on the car.

  5. Hello

I will be selling my car soon, but don’t know how much will be a good value for the car.

is a 1973 2002, that was restored back in 2007, every is working, with the exception of the heater and I’m not sure if is working or not is not connecte and I have not try.

engine compressor and leak test was perfect 2 months ago, car has no rust at all, underneath is perfect condition,

it had a Weber 36, everything else is original except the bumper brackets I have change them to 1972 brackets.

the seats need new pads, which I have, just have not have the time to take the car to the upholster, the vinyl is good condition.

and is only missing the center console.

will like an honest opinion on value, probably will trade the car in.

    I was thinking $25K

    thanks

    HI,

that connector in the picture is the

body side wiring for the heater box

and the lights on the lever controls.

the green is heater and the gray/ blue

is the dash lights. the male side from

the heater box fits into that. if your car

is late model and had AC then you

need to find the wires individually

and push them into the female connector.

the wires are usually held up to the box

by a clip, near the top of the box,

    closest to the dash.

    Thanks

  7. Hello

My 1973 2002, The Central console was remove and the heater blower in not connected,

all other electrical stuff is working fine, I do have this connection under the dash, which I thought it was for the heater box, it has power with the ignition switch on, but when I close the circuit, the instrument panel lights comes on and the side markers and the license plate lights.

Dose anyone have an idea what this is for?

It would seem that the new bracket you bought is incorrectly made.

If it was me, I would bend/modify the bracket and make it work

    - could maybe add small extender with piece of metal, or try another bracket,

but I'd get a hammer and a pipe wrench and just make the thing work !

I’m trying bending them, also I’m trying to find used once.

AFAIK the bolt hole spacing for all chrome rear bumpers is the same--this includes all '68-72 cars (US and Euro cars used the same bumper); Euro and US 73 cars (Euro cars used the same brackets as the 68-72 cars, US cars use the loop) and the squarelights.  US squarelights have the mounting holes for chrome bumpers (used on Euro market cars), plugged by little oval caps, as the Euro and US cars used the same rear panel stamping.

So something is whacky with what you have--either the bracket was made incorrectly or your car has been modified.  Do the two mounting holes on both old and new brackets have the same spacing?  They should.

    mike

Yes they do have the same spacing

  10. Hello guys

I have a 1973 2002, and I’m trying to close the big gap on the bumpers, I was told that all I need are the brackets for the 1972 front and rear.

    I got bought them

now I’m in the process of replacing the brackets on the rear bumper but the holes in the brackets do not match the body.

i try moving them around, trading places, up side down, they just don’t fit.

Here is a comparison picture of the 1972 vs 1973 brackets.

    Any ideas ?

    thanks

    JV
