Nice set up---did you buy a pedal box reconditioning kit? This is one nice job---well done!
-
Thanks Buckeye---- I am assuming that any BMW parts dealer should be able to supply?
76MintGrun02-- that is a nice looking pedal box you have there--what parts did you recondition before reassembly?
As always, thanks to all of the knowledgeable guys out there willing to help a newbie....!

-
This is a somewhat stupid question but I have a pedal box to go in to my '72 BMW--what size bolts/nuts are required to mount it? I got just a bare pedal box.....

Just my humble opinion---and that (and $5 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks) but jeeeeeezus that thing is frugly!!
-
no....just "normal" street use----so past the stage of wanting to impress with burnouts, etc. Good to hear that feedback though---gives me a little more peace of mind.

Steve,
No...the reason was simply that I wanted to work a motor to put out about 250 hp. and was under the impression that it needed a stiffer rear end......
But as you can tell, I am a newbie at the Euro scene..... and thank you all for the input and setting me straight.
A dose of reality upside the head never hurt nobody, right?
-
o.k., o.k., point taken.......... and no insinuation was meant toward anyone on this forum....wow...!
I appreciate all of the information, insight (incite) and feedback.....thanks guys, truly.
-
no problem...either way.....
just interested to know (a) how hard this was to swap out and ( what was involved and © why did you do it?
I have heard so many naysayers--just interested to hear first hand.....
-
Nuthatch
Mind if I contact you via e-mail to get some details?
-
Much appreciated..... I guess it stays as it is.

I feel stupid asking this but I have had so many conflicting reports now that it would be nice to hear from someone who has actually had hands on experience of this.....
I want to swap the rear subframe out on my 2002. Now I have heard that a E30 swaps in there ok, and then others tell me that it won't. Then I hear that the E21 is a better choice and will swap in--then others tell me that it won't.
Has anyone actually done this swap and what is involved in it?
