Are you willing to ship?
Absolutely. It looks like a flat-rate priority mail box would be $8.30 to anywhere in the US.

Oops... typed my asking price correctly in the body ($150/OBO), but mistyped it in the price field. Fixing. Sorry about that.

Hello , will this Rod Bearing set fit on 1971 BMW 2002 block . If so, I may consider buying the set.
Thanks

Yes. They will fit any M10 engine (as in all 2002s) so long as you have standard size bearing journals.

Re-awakening this ancient thread...
I sought out this thread looking for the best way to hold the pinion still while tightening the bolt and crushing the crush sleeve. As it turns out, one of the very common tools used to remove BMW radiator fans ended up being perfect for the job, and I recommend it to others. The holes are spaced just right and it bolts right up. Just need to use pipe (or jack handles in my case) to increase leverage on the tool and on the breaker bar used to tighten the nut.

1) Rather than hope someone who has a variety of shims comes to your thread, try to hunt them down. I know a number of vintage 2002 race outfits carry a variety of 4-bolt side cover shims. Try calling some of them with your desired thicknesses converted to inches (easier for them to grab their caliper and confirm that way).
Thank you. Do you have contact info for any of these places? Thanks ahead!

Scott I probably have these if they are the same ones in the LSD. I have exploded 4-5 in my time and kept all the parts. Give me a few days.
AKMuch appreciated, Anthony! Although I am pretty sure these are not the same parts as the LSD uses.

So... no solution for this? Is the diff not rebuildable over a $1 shim?
-
I'm rebuilding an open diff for my '72 2002 and have run into an issue. One of the side gears has a bit too much play and needs to be shimmed differently. The shims needed are #07 here:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=ST12-USA-01-1972-114-BMW-2002&diagId=33_0867
I might also need #06 as well, although the two diffs I have only appear to have two shims per side gear... no "diaphragm spring" (unless #06 looks just like a shim?)
Trouble is, these are NLA from BMW and I'm not sure how to proceed. Does anyone have these lying about? I'd like to get a hold of all the ones that are thicker than 1.3mm. Thanks!

My wife's '72 2002 now wears E30 alloys, so I have a set of four steel wheels with tires available, as well as hubcaps.
The wheels are all straight, but could be cleaned and painted if you want them to be pretty. The tires don't all match, but they have quite a bit of tread left. $60 for the set.
I also have a set of original hubcaps. They have some dings and scratches, but look pretty good on a driver. $80 for the set of four.
They are located in Sacramento, CA. Let me know if interested.

My Weber 38 is tuned in such a way that it really wanted a distributor with a vacuum advance (008 has vacuum retard).
