    My Weber 38 is tuned in such a way that it really wanted a distributor with a vacuum advance (008 has vacuum retard).

    This distributor came out of my 1972 '02. It is in great working condition, and has a Pertronix points replacement installed. $120/OBO.

    Yes. They will fit any M10 engine (as in all 2002s) so long as you have standard size bearing journals.

    This wheel came out of my 1972 2002. It has a nice leather Wheelskins wrap. $150 or best offer. EDIT: Corrected typo in price field. Body was correct.

    This is a brand new Rod Bearing Set in STD size that I didn't end up needing. ITM 4B1486-STD. $40 OBO.

    Re-awakening this ancient thread... I sought out this thread looking for the best way to hold the pinion still while tightening the bolt and crushing the crush sleeve. As it turns out, one of the very common tools used to remove BMW radiator fans ended up being perfect for the job, and I recommend it to others. The holes are spaced just right and it bolts right up. Just need to use pipe (or jack handles in my case) to increase leverage on the tool and on the breaker bar used to tighten the nut.

    bump So... no solution for this? Is the diff not rebuildable over a $1 shim?

    I'm rebuilding an open diff for my '72 2002 and have run into an issue. One of the side gears has a bit too much play and needs to be shimmed differently. The shims needed are #07 here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=ST12-USA-01-1972-114-BMW-2002&diagId=33_0867 I might also need #06 as well, although the two diffs I have only appear to have two shims per side gear... no "diaphragm spring" (unless #06 looks just like a shim?) Trouble is, these are NLA from BMW and I'm not sure how to proceed. Does anyone have these lying about? I'd like to get a hold of all the ones that are thicker than 1.3mm. Thanks! -Scott

    My wife's '72 2002 now wears E30 alloys, so I have a set of four steel wheels with tires available, as well as hubcaps. The wheels are all straight, but could be cleaned and painted if you want them to be pretty. The tires don't all match, but they have quite a bit of tread left. $60 for the set. I also have a set of original hubcaps. They have some dings and scratches, but look pretty good on a driver. $80 for the set of four. They are located in Sacramento, CA.
