  1. I totally agree...if you don't mind my asking, where did you find the history on the ebay sale? I did register it with the 2002 Registry after I bought it, but I would like to know more about it as well. Thanks; Don
  2. Hi Jim - Yes, the car is a rainbow of colors - three, I think - it does look like it was originally yellow, then semi-detail-sprayed orange, and most recently hastily done in what I would consider "Glidden House Paint" in some off-white color. Personally, I'd like to bring it back to its original color, but my wife really wants a brandywine/tan interior combo. Regardless, I think it needs to go down to bare metal so the true body condition can be seen. I don't have any other history on the car other than what you've already found - I bought the car from the guy in Oklahoma in early 2011 and had it shipped here - he wanted to restore it or turn it into a road racer...I think it's decent enough to restore, but I'm not an expert...rocker panels and shock tower mounts look okay. It's been sitting in my garage since I bought it...reminding me daily that it's there, waiting for some TLC. Thanks; Don
  3. Hi - I'm new to the forum, was recommended to join by mlytle in Alexandria...I live in Tampa and have a '71 2002 (stock) sitting in my garage with a wife who is patiently waiting for me to have it restored as her daily driver/commuter car. We're looking for a good shop/resource in the Southwest Florida area (Tampa/Orlando/Bradenton) - Need to know where to start. Photos of the Beemer can be found here: <> Thanks; Don
