Clear coat mostly missing on hood, roof and trunk

Transmission needs a rebuild

Front seats newly reupholstered

Bottle cap wheels and new tires

Weber carburetor, high compression head and exhaust

Engine starts quickly and runs well

I was driving to work this morning, I hit the gas and I got a flood of fuel and then nothing. Car kept running at idle speed. I drifted over, pulled to the side, and shut it off. Now it won't start. I'm getting a good solid crank, and the throttle linkage appears to be intact. Fuel in the tank. It must be still getting fuel being that the car kept running, but I can't seem to get the throttle to provide more fuel (hence not enough to start the engine). Where would you start troubleshooting?

I'm on the Peninsula and looking to get some rust damage repaired and get my clear coat fixed. Anyone have any recommendations? Willing to drive a couple of hours to work with a trusted shop.
