    Ive tried it with the key up, down, turning while pushing the button while turning. It acts like the locking portion is no longer connected. The key turns very easy, the button pushes in very easy.

    yes, I tried it both ways just in case but it will not work. I feel no resistance when I turn the key. The trunk was open not to long ago.

    Hi, I have a 74 2002Tii and I can not open the trunk. The key will go in and turn, the button goes in but the trunk will not unlock. Any ideas on how to get this open. Thanks
