Good to hear. After browsing these forums I feel like I would get more criticism for my plans then appreciation haha. I'm planning on documenting my whole build so stay toned should be a little different from the normal outlook.

the IE setup I mentioned would do just fine, and all for 900$ + the cost of someone welding on your coil over sleeve perches.
Damper adjustment is good if you know what you're doing, but its easy to screw up. I also don't know what they are doing with a single knob for compression and re-bound adjustment...that doesn't make sense to me.
Welding in that area(of the linked posts) isn't that bad, I just would make absolutely sure the person doing it is a welding ace.
So the IE front "coilovers" use your stock shock though? I just bought my 1974 2002 today and the first thing I noticed is the shocks are gone.

I'm just looking for something around 1,000$ that will give me decent performance and complete adjustable ride height. I love a mean aggressive stance and enjoy being pretty low.

So I have been browsing this forum and others about coil overs. I know this have been done with the e30's, but has anyone tried this retrofit to the 2002's?

First to get the car in decent running condition. I have seen some ghetto rigged stuff, but this car tops it all. Parts were held in with tape and glue. Lots of plywood for some reason.
I'm trying to take on some of the rust in the interior right now. Then I'm going to put the battery and a fuel cell in the trunk.
As far as what I want to do with it is coils, mesh wheels with a lip, race interior, and in time get it running with ITB's and an engine rebuild ( camed etc)
Shoot for new paint within the year. I painted the G35 in my garage and did everything myself, which I plan to do with this car also.
