  1. Fiberglass box flare kit made in Germany and marked ZENDER. The fronts are complete fenders that bolt on and have recesses for turn signals. The rear flares are LONG, they taper from the edge of the door, make a box flare around the rear wheels and then blend into the back under the roundlighter trim. They have bumper recesses and a fill hole for the gas tank if wanted. The last piece is an airdam with intakes on the front to pickup cold air for the brakes. This kit is used but in solid condition and looks sharp on a car. $675.00 Best Offer. marty-hudson@att.net or (707) 533-7360
  2. Fiberglass box flare kit made in Germany and marked ZENDER. The fronts are complete fenders that bolt on and have recesses for turn signal lights. The rear flares are LONG, they taper wider from the edge of the door, make a box flare around the wheels and then blend into the back under the Roundlighter trim. They have bumper recesses and a fill hole for gas tank if wanted. The last piece is an airdam with "grated" cutouts on the front to pick up cold air for the brakes. The kit was previously mounted but was carefully detached and the small leftover rivet holes should actually make it adhere better in the long run. One long rear fender broke in half but was fixed professionally without adding much extra material. Kit looks sharp on a car. $800.00 Best Offer. I am 45 minutes from Santa Rosa, a little further from the Bay Area. I do not want to ship these if at all possible, I'd rather do some driving and meet you half-way. martyhudson@att.net or Marty (707-533-7360 c., 707-987-8711 H.

  4. The total I want for the racecar is $3000. There are some really good parts on it, or for street or ITB use would also work. Body is sound and straight but has a ton of surface rust due to sitting outside. E-mail me for any questions/specifics. Marty
  5. you ended up in my spam folder what are you looking for? I have a complete but ugly racecar (ITB) Marty
  6. Joseph, A guy out of Marin county, 50ish, bought the car. He is going to do a complete overhaul, he had an '02 in high school and always wanted one again. He was driving a high dollar new 528 and wasn't worried about the $, I'm sure he'll do it nice. Before and after the sale I was trying to let him know the virtues of that car. ( it is indeed leather, this was my first time back there since 2002faq discussion ) I showed him the other Euro like options and told him the concensus seemed to be that it was a US edition. He is picking up the car in a week or two and I am going to see what other parts I have laying around that he can have and let him know about 2002faq, he found it on E-Bay. Still have the complete but ugly racecar with lots of good parts and extras so will probably be on this sight a little longer selling and asking questions. At this point it looks like the 2800cs may be heading to Australia for a full resto. Thanks again Marty
  7. Even better its the 222nd ever built? who knows The VIN is 2220464 Thanks for the input That vinyl roof ( sunroof ) always puzzled me. Do you know which car would have a pedal box and 4 or 5 speed that would bolt in? someone asked. Bavaria? 528I? Also if the car is too far gone for restoration do you know a good market for parts. Some 2800cs specific parts; tailights, headlights, trim, grills, side and hood grills, gauges etc are still in real good shape as well as glass and a few body panels. 2002faq is a great marketplace for '02 stuff but cs's have a more limited following. Thanks a ton!! Marty
  8. Car is based on 2002. the car has many good parts ( Drivetrain ) and many great parts ( Suspension ) full race. The whole car is $3000 total Or $2000 for either complete drivetrain or complete suspension. If you want to rebuild it I would personally disassemble it and have it acid dipped, it not only would take off the rust but would remove any existing sounddeadening material and undercoating and further lighten the car I couldn't get photos onto 2002faq so put it on E_Bay ad # 150551998401 Marty
  9. Update on this car, I'm finding out that the vinyl sunroof on this car is very rare options. Most of the people I have talked to lately have never seen or heard of this FACTORY option. I'm also learning through E-mails from Europe that it may be one of the first coupes ever built #464? still doing legwork. This would make a cool vintage racer if someone didn't want to go through full restoration. Marty
  10. Jeff, Thanks for the info. One of you guys said US car, wonder if it WAS a Custom Order. Its funny this is such an "oddball" edition. Right now I'm also selling my 2800cs project for $1800 and it has a sunroof, Vinyl, and I'm getting all these E-mails mostly from Europe saying this may be one of the earliest coupes ever built with a very uncommon option. Wish I had of restored and kept them, but no toys for now until I can afford my 840ci. Marty
  11. Just noticed your post. Wouldn't know how to go about redoing interior, most of our normal resources couldn't get kits to redo it. Custom job I guess. VIN is 1564496 Euro? US? I wish someone would restore this car, I don't have the luxury or space at this point, have a lot of nice parts to slap on it though!! Thanks guys for all the input, would love to know more history.
  12. Sorry, don't know the difference, next time I go to my storage I'll try them on my 1602 I have for sale in the cars section. Thanks

  18. 1968 BMW 2800 cs Coupe. One of the prettiest cars BMW has ever built ( besides the 2002 of course ). The car is straight but has had previous body work, rust repair that is now bubbling back through in multiple spots. I believe repairs were not done properly, these areas have continued to degrade as it sat but at least you can clearly see what you are getting into. The motor ran strong before it was parked, tranny went out. The entire car is complete except some beltline trim. The engine looks unchanged from stock, 6 cylinder, 2.8 liter. The interior is sunrotted and is best used for frames ( seats, etc. ) and templates, ( interior panels, woodwork ) It is now on E-bay local classifieds ad # 150551981944 for a buy it now price of $1800 There are more details on this site but more importantly photos, please E-mail me for any photos you may have. This car was/is listed on this site a little over a week ago with no photos. Take a look. Marty
  19. 1968 1602 Euro editionSOLD Several unusual parts. flush front running light, different front headlight buckets ( so I'm told ) with "city lights" running lights, antennae in center of trunk instead of in A pillar. Front seats with no headrest from the factory and has two tone interior. Most likely has higher compression motor. It is now listed on E-bay local classifieds for a $1500 Buy it Now price. The ad # is 150551963839. This car was/is listed on this site a little over a week ago but without pictures so hope this helps. Feel free to E-mail with questions. Marty
  20. These bumpers are already on E-bay for a seven day auction. They may stay at $126 which is o.k. with me but I can't take them off. Can't risk rating etc. with E-bay. I'll take the 10% off out of shipping ( only way to discount E-bay I know of ) An ad posted today has almost new rubber plus maybe two ends for $100 if you need rubber strip and I'm about to post a set of pretty clean overriders in a minute for $40. Don't know the difference between front and back though if there is one. Marty
  21. Thanks for the hints, especially after ragging on me for not having a camera. I still don't get it? Why can't you just browse and attach like E-bay? Is there a way to email in the photos automatically. I have a shitload of stuff to sell especially if I part out all three of these cars plus my extra parts. I'm not much of a techie so I don't understand your directions, I'll try a little harder tomorrow but I don't have much faith. Thanks for bringing those two photos up I already met my reserve on E-bay because of it. I hate to pay E-bay for nothing and I get the feeling that 2002faq's are a tight knit group and don't really like E-bay from what I've seen and don't want to ruffle too many feathers because like I said I have a lot of cars/parts to sell and just want to get a fair price. Oh well its E-bay for now I've got two sets of overriders and two sets of tailights I want to get on tonight. Thanks!! Marty
  22. Really Clean Long Tailed Rear Bumper, very shiny from a few feet away but if you look real close you can see swirling in the chrome. May be able to be buffed out. 1 small scratch/gouge on topsurface ( 1/2" +/- ), missing 1 bolt to hold three sections together, some scratches on edge as shown in photo but I believe these would be under rubber strip if you chose to put it on. Missing half the tab where end piece hits body and would have to use larger washer or perhaps weld more tab on ( wouldn't affect chrome ). I just don't want to touch it. Also comes with two brackets but one seems to stick out a little further than the other and may need to be replaced or adjusted ( washers? )You can see this in comparison picture showing both sides. It sounds like I'm trying to talk a buyer out of the bumper but only trying to be REAL clear, you buy what you see and what is described. I don't think anyone would be unhappy with this bumper short of a show car. E-mail me for questions, shipping will be $50.00 to properly wrap, protect and insure this item. I cannot seem to post pics. on 2002faq. It is now on E-bay for $125.00 with a reserve of $126.00 item # for photos is 150549868958. I will take 1o% off final price of item if you mention 2002faq. Can anyone tell me how to post photos on this sight, I have numerous people waiting to see other items and cars. It would be greatly appreciated!! Marty
  23. Hi, I have an awesome suspension I listed several days ago (martyhudson) for $2000 complete. It was built by a guy who had won several Pacific Coast SCCA titles and it is second to none. It may actually have to be dialed back a little for the street both for clearance and comfort. I also have a pair of used coilovers with sachs shocks that I would consider getting rid of for a fair price. E-mail me Thanks, Marty
  24. please send me your e-mail address, I'm having trouble adding photos to these ads, got any personal know-how? I did send you a note saying the racecar was a 2002 and added that to the ad, Thanks Marty
