  1. 1972 2002 with the right stuff. I have listed it before but had high hopes of getting it on the track. No such luck. Selling to make room for other projects.

HP engine built with Forged JE pistons, strong track cam, dual 45 DCOE Webers, MSD ignition, headers with large exhaust

Thick radiator core with new front electric drive fan

Suspension Techniques components in the suspension

Front Discs from a 5 series, Rear drums

5 speed trans and LSD rear

    13" rims w 185 60 Hankooks

Custom welded roll cage with MOMO drivers seat and Simpson 5 pt belts

Recaro passenger seat removes easily for competition

Battery relocated to behind passenger seat for balance

Fuel cell with high volume electric pump

All fluids Purple synthetic in trans and LSD

Brake fluid changed, oil changed. All look good.

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/bartenhagen/ for a few photos

Car was built by wealthy dealer and no expense was spared (estimated at over $60k-no way to verify). Car was stripped and painted (was Inka) and any excess weight removed. Note pics for details on the build. No rust. Suspension has hold down loops for ease of trailering.

This car is not street legal. Car was imported from Canada in 2009. Tech (CACC) is not up to date but book is included. This car has not been raced much but is well dialed in.

Asking $11,500 or trade for street legal sports car... or ?

  2. READY TO ROLL.

HERE IS THE LINK TO PICS FOR THE BMW.

    http://s415.photobucket.com/albums/pp238/vwn2zs/1972%20BMW%202002%20Race%20Car/

    GENERAL HISTORY:

1972 BMW 2002 ORIGINALY OWNED BY A JAGUAR MECHANIC. A FEW YEARS LATER THE CAR WAS SOLD TO THE OWNER OF A BMW/JAGUAR DEALERSHIP. HE THEN MODIFIED THE CAR FOR VINTAGE RACING USING THE BEST OF EVERYTHING ON THE MARKET. THE CAR WAS PROFESSIONALLY RACED AND NOT MADE FOR "TRACK DAYS" AT THE LOCAL RACE TRACK; HE MADE THIS CAR TO WIN. THERE WAS NO BUDGET TO BUILDING THE COMPANY BMW 2002 RACE CAR. HE HAD NO LIMIT TO THE MONEY BEING SPENT; HE DID WHAT EVER WAS NEEDED. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN CRASHED. THERE IS A PARTS LIST HAND BOOK WHICH WE USED TO BUY SOME OF THE PARTS FROM. ALSO WE HAVE THE CAR'S LOG BOOK, WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT, THIS SHOWS THE RACING HISTORY OF THE CAR.

    BODY/SUSPENSION:

STOCK 1972 2002 BODY.TOP-END PERFORMANCE SUSPENSION WITH SUSPENSION TECHNIQUES FRONT COIL-OVERS WITH RACING CAMBER PLATES, UPPER AND LOWER PERCHES. REAR RACING COIL SPRINGS, SOLID REAR SUB MOUNTS, SWAY BAR KIT WITH 22mm FRONT AND 19mm ADJUSTABLE REAR URETHANE BUSHINGS AND ADJUSTABLE LINKAGE. FRONT BILSTEIN FOR SHORTENED STRUTS AND REAR SHORT BILSTEINS. PROFESSIONALLY BUILT ROLL CAGE.

    ENGINE:

WEBER 45 DCOE CARBS, INTAKE MANIFOLD KIT WITH ANTI-VIBRATION MOUNTS. SHORT FOAM AIR FILTER. LOW PRESSURE HIGH VOLUME ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP. THICKER RADIATOR FOR BETTER WATER FLOW AND COOLING. HEADER EXHAUST, LARGE BORE MUFFLER, MSD IGNITION. AFTERMARKET FUEL CEL. FORGED "JE" PISTON SET W/LIGHTWEIGHT WRIST PINS, TOTAL-SEAL PISTON RING SET, 90mm (.040 over) PERFORMANCE GROUND CAM SHAFT.

    DRIVETRAIN/BRAKES:

E21 320 5spd TRANS, REAR DIFF FROM A E21 320 W/LIMITED SLIP, FRONT BRAKES E28 5 SERIES W/DUAL PISTON, REAR BRAKES ARE LEFT FACTORY AS REQUIRED FOR VINTAGE RACING. BRAKE BOOSTER IS 2002 Tii.

LIKE I SAID IN THE BEGINNING THE CAR WAS BUILT WITH NO LIMIT TO THE MONEY BEING SPENT. HE JUST WANTED THE CAR TO BE FAST, RELIABLE AND TO WIN RACES. HAVING BEEN THE OWNER OF A BMW DEALERSHIP HAS ALLOWED HIM TO BUILD THAT CAR. ACCORDING TO THE OWNER, HE HAVE SPENT AROUND THE $60,000 MARK ON BUILDING THIS CAR. AS IT IS NOW THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES STRONG. GARAGE KEPT. I HAVE CHANGED ALL THE FLUIDS TO SYNTHETICS AND REPLACED THE EXHAUST. DRAINED FLUIDS WERE GOOD.

CAR IS ELIGIBLE FOR GT-2 OR B SEDAN. REVIEW THE CURRENT RULE BOOKS TO DETERMINE THE CURRENT VINTAGE CLASS THIS CAR WOULD COMPETE IN YOUR AREA.

ONE PICS HERE WITH MORE AT THE BUCKET.

  3. 1972 BMW Vintage Race car, 2002 model built for track competition. This is not a street car.

    http://s415.photobucket.com/albums/pp238/vwn2zs/1972%20BMW%202002%20Race%20Car/

Car has premium quality components throughout. 5 spd and rear LSD from 3 series, front brakes from 5 series BMW, dual 45 DCOE Webers, roll cage, Momo race seat, Recaro passanger is easy out for competition. Check out the pics.

    $15,000 OBO

Try this. It has the jump to the photos also. Thanks.

  4. @ND2002, the 14" black ones with worn tires are ET30, and the silver 13" have a 13mm offset, as all E21 basketweaves do. The silver 13" wheels have a set of Yokohama Avid T4s on them with around 5K miles, and the black 14" wheels have balding Falkens.

How does $200 for the 13" set sound, and/or $120 for the 14" wheels sound?

13" price sounds good. Need to discuss shipping costs to 58801.

I also need all the emergency brake parts. And the front strut bar if it is not gone.

bartenhagen at g mail dot com Thanks

I haven't heard from you Hamburger. What's up? Dave B
