  1. interested in the heater blower motor if its running. Thanks, Frank
  2. Steve, you're right about the bones, but the clams can't smell any worse than all the rat pooh I found in the heater box. Don't fret about the heater box rebuild, took me less than 2 hours to get everything apart and the box out and dismantled. Just follow the heater box refurbishment FAQ here, it's very well done. Having said that, we'll see how long it takes to get this back together again!
  3. Hey Harv, innovative solution to a replacement fan. Will try to rebuild my motor first, failing that try for a used one, failing that........?
  4. Hi , does anyone out there know if a different heater blower motor E21, E30? will fit a late model 02? Thanks for your help
  5. Hey, looking for a heater/blower motor to fit a 75 02. If anyone has a good used one let me know. Thanks in advance !
  6. thanks Kris, that's probably my best option. let you know when it's on the road.
  7. Hey TonyHavana, nope, that wasn't me, my car is a cosmetically challenged black. hope to do something about that one day,but not high on my list of priorities. Is that your red 02 usually parked on a "here to be unnamed" one way street in downtown T.O.? if so,very nice, I noticed it a few times passing through. I'm located in east Toronto, sure we'll see you around.
  8. Thanks for the reply Blunt. I definitely have the correct guibo. I checked the diff and it looks like it's already full forward in the slotted holes. When I put channel locks on the tranny and driveshaft flanges I can pull them together enough to close the gap, but your right, the fastening bolts shouldn't be under that kind of load. The engine mounts look good. Is there fore/aft adjustment on the engine mounts? Thanks again.
  9. Hi everyone, new to '02's and this site, gonna start with a question. Took off my driveshaft to replace the quibo and centre hanger, after putting it back and following all the great advice I found here for parts, installing, alignment etc., I found the space between the driveshaft and tranny flange to be about 1/8" greater than the thickness of the guibo. Is this normal ? should the securing bolts all be tighten enough to pull the driveshaft/tranny together, or should I use washers to make up the difference? This car, 1975, has a 5 sp. conversion, wondering if the PO shortened the driveshaft too much. Didn't notice this when I disassembled the unit, although at least one of the bolts was missing a nut, probably the reason my guibo was hitting the shift selector rod in the first place and the reason I had to pull it apart.
