Ok a little confused and need some Clarity What is the preferred(performance gain) differential mating with a 5 speed conversion.?

Have two 73's 1-tii with newly upgraded 5 speed conversions and the car drives great with Stock original equip differentials. At times I feel a wanting to go slower feeling coming from the rear as I move through the gears. Any schooling in this area would be great
