The foward most nut on the doors seems to be uninstalable due to the metal plate that is in the way.

I am trying to install the mouldings on my Nevada 72 tii and I cant figure out what other clips are used in conjunction with the type with the screw on backs. The door lower moulding takes 5 clips but the one all the way foward I can't even get the nut on because the hinge plate is blocking it. Do they make any spring type clips? My parts guy couldn't make out the diagram. Thanks for any help, same question goes for the upper beltline moulding, does it only accept the screw on type clips?
